THERE'S SOO MANY DICKS!
Seriously: did you know that men named Richard, Rick, or Dick (Dicks) outnumber women and diverse groups on public company boards? It's time to Change the Board Game. There are too many Dicks and not enough of everyone else.
We combed through each board of directors of U.S. based companies on the NYSE and NASDAQ, all 36,957 existing board members across 4,429 publicly traded U.S. companies.
The data is astounding:
🔍 There were 566 men named Richard, Rick, or Dick (Dicks) serving on these public company boards.
🔍 Black women and Asian women barely outnumber men named Dick, with only 806 Black Women, 774 Asian Women.
🔍 There were only 283 Hispanic Women on these same boards, only half the number of “Dicks”.
At e.l.f. Beauty, inclusivity is a superpower. With our board leading the charge with 2/3 women and 1/3 diverse members, we're setting a new standard for corporate leadership.
Join us in driving real impact and ensuring that corporate boards reflect the diverse world we live in. Learn more about the E.L.F. BEAUTY initiative here: https://lnkd.in/gWguvHwN
