Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning" As many of my LinkedIn followers know, the Muscle Help Foundation #charity is a small, but mighty charity that packs a punch when it comes to delivering transformational outcomes for its vulnerable beneficiaries living with the muscle wasting condition #musculardystrophy ~ MD is relentless and unforgiving. In 2023, nine of the charity’s Muscle Dream beneficiaries died. The average age was 19yrs. A harsh reality. For many young people in our community, #time is an incredibly precious commodity! The American Kidney Fund is excited to announce AKF's Living Donor Assistance Program, which aims to increase access to living kidney donation by reimbursing living kidney donors in the United States for out-of-pocket costs they incurred as part of the donation process. Funded by generous support from the Friends of David Atkins and the Sievers Family Charitable Fund, the Living Donor Assistance Program currently assists living kidney donors who have provided a kidney to a recipient in Massachusetts, the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, or New York City. Masco Canada is donating $50,000 to the St. Thomas Elgin Hospital (STEGH) Foundation, located in St. Thomas, Ont. The donation will support the hospital’s $8 million "Transforming Tomorrow Diagnostic Imaging" campaign, which will affect the diagnostic imaging department at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital and bring an MRI machine and associated care closer to home for residents.
