If you've been to our main campus lately, you probably noticed a few large red construction cranes. Under those cranes, crews are hard at work building the future of neurological care at Cleveland Clinic. The future Neurological Institute in Cleveland will bring together clinical care and research programs that are currently spread across eight facilities. Our new, one-million-square-foot, consolidated building will significantly streamline research and patient care, while expanding digital distance health services to reach tens of thousands of patients dealing with neurological disorders. This year's HOMAGE and Cleveland Clinic Children’s VeloSano shirt design was created in collaboration between our outpatient art therapist and Eden, our 10- year-old patient diagnosed with Leukemia 🎗️ . . You will notice that this year's design was inspired by our outpatient facility dog, Kid, who "rode" (in his bike trailer) in VeloSano 2022 and his personal experience with Lymphoma 🚲 . . Kid is a vital member of our psychosocial team, supporting our pediatric patients undergoing oncology treatment, who are now supporting him on his journey. Sabrina is a dedicated PhD student in Dr. Justin Lathia's lab and an active volunteer with VeloSano! 🚲 VeloSano funding initiatives support transformative, lifesaving cancer research at the Cleveland Clinic. This year, Sabrina received $25,000 in VeloSano funding to support her work on glioblastoma, one of the most challenging forms of adult brain cancer.
