We recently learned that the Click Therapeutics name and branding has been used as part of a phishing scam to collect banking and other personal information under the guise of recruitment outreach. Other than your email address or telephone number, which you may provide via a job application portal, Click Therapeutics will never ask you to provide personally identifiable information about yourself (such as a Social Security Number) over a messaging application (like that used on the LinkedIn platform or Microsoft Teams). All of our current job openings are displayed on the Click Therapeutics Official Career page, and note that Click Therapeutics will only conduct interviews face-to-face over Zoom. With fake job advertisements and offers increasingly on the rise, we encourage you to be vigilant during the job search process. If you have encountered a job posting or have been approached with a job offer that you suspect may be fraudulent, we strongly recommend you do not respond and report it to the Federal Trade Commission https://lnkd.in/dxzVaWP. You can also contact our team at recruitment@clicktherapeutics.com to report details of your experience.

Unfortunately, Omnicell, like many other organizations, has observed an increase in fake job offers and interview phishing scams. 🔍 What to Look Out For: ◾ Unsolicited job offers or interview requests via text or email. ◾ Requests to click on links, open PDFs, or provide personal information. ◾ Communications not originating from an official Omnicell email address (ending in @omnicell.com). 📧 Remember: ◾ Omnicell will never send job solicitations in such a manner. ◾ All legitimate Omnicell correspondence will come exclusively from an email address ending in @omnicell.com. ❗ If You Encounter a Scam: 1. 📢 Beware of Fake Job Offers: My Personal Story 👀 I applied for a position at a well-known global brand and was contacted by a recruiter. After exchanging a few emails, completing a test, and doing a written “interview,” I was thrilled to receive a job offer. But I noticed something unusual – the email address did not originate from an official company domain. Sensing something was off, I insisted on continuing our communication through official company channels and requested the name(s) of the HR personnel who would handle the next steps and onboarding. As I expected, the emails stopped immediately. This experience was a harsh reminder to always be vigilant when applying for jobs. Scammers can be very convincing, but there are always red flags to watch out for, such as unofficial email addresses, unrealistic promises, and unprofessional communication. I want to end this on a positive note and remind everyone to be careful and look out for these warning signs. If you ever encounter suspicious job offers, report them: FTC Fraud Report https://lnkd.in/eQ8zSYWq. Here's a guide to help you protect yourself: FTC Employment Scam Guide https://lnkd.in/ek8NAZnB. ⚠ ❗ Reminder to stay vigilant against recruitment scams! Here are key red flags to protect yourself: - Be cautious of interviews via text or chat; opt for phone calls. - Verify contacts carefully; reputable recruiters on LinkedIn have a verified badge by their name on their profile. - Look out for poor grammar in messages. - Never share personal/bank info with unknown sources. - Avoid requests for money during applications. - Legitimate jobs won't ask for upfront payments. Job scams increased by 118% last year according to HRD America. I see employment fraud plaguing online job boards including LinkedIn targeting one of our most vulnerable populations – job seekers. Sadly, fake job postings have resulted in hundreds of wasted hours for my clients and others who are enticed by the seemingly perfect job. It can happen to anyone. My best friend, who I consider to be one of the smartest people I know (she has her Masters and is currently pursuing a PhD), got duped last year due to a highly sophisticated and professional hiring process. Common indications of a fake job opening include: -All interactions are over the phone or virtual conferencing, without the camera on. -The position is 100% remote. -The salary and expense reimbursement seem too good to be true. -All communication is through one recruiter who, despite your lack of experience and expertise, thinks that you are a great fit for the job. -They indicate that they are an internal or external recruiter for a company that has a website and LinkedIn company page. -The company has no working phone # associated with it. -The recruiter will not give you their phone number. If you suspect a job opening is a scam, here are some things you can do to validate the authenticity of the position. -Ask the recruiter for their phone number. If they don’t give it to you, you’ve got your answer. -Call the phone # on the contact page of their website. If the voicemail is wonky and you try and try again, but no one answers, you’ve got yourself a job scam. -Google the company name to see if other people are reporting them as illegitimate. Finally, prevent anyone else from being sucked into a fake job by reporting it to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov #jobsearchtips #jobseeking

It is truly disheartening to hear that individuals seeking employment fall victim to fraudulent job offers. The initial excitement of securing a role is shattered when suspicions of fraud arise. These candidates, who have invested time and energy in the interview process, find themselves in a precarious position as fraudsters request significant sums for equipment or personal financial details, leaving them susceptible to identity theft. Protecting yourself from job scams At Metagenomi, we take cybersecurity seriously. To protect prospective candidates and prevent potential fraud or job scammers from falsely representing Metagenomi, Inc., we would like to take a moment to remind you about fraud and how to protect yourself. Job scammers or fraudsters often try to trick people into revealing personal information via phishing emails, phone calls, or fake websites. Here are some red flags to watch out for and key reminders for our prospective candidates: All of our open positions are posted on the Metagenomi Careers Page. Metagenomi, Inc. and our agency representatives will never ask you for money or financial information. We will never extend an offer of employment without a formal interview process, wherein an HR representative and the hiring team conduct video and/or in-person interviews. We never conduct interviews via chat rooms or messaging apps. Metagenomi will only email you from an authorized Metagenomi email If in doubt, please check our LinkedIn Company page If you would like to learn more or if you suspect fraud, please refer to the following websites: https://lnkd.in/gjzaKq-G https://lnkd.in/gtVuGaTh

Scammer craft their stories to match the vulnerability of their victims. If you are looking for a job, you’ll be offered a job that is high paying, easy and too-good-to-be-true. Plus the interview process will be quick (if there is one at all) and it wlll be all digital. These are all red flags. Then you’ll be asked to pay something or buy something. For example: - we need you to buy your own computer - we need you to buy gift cards - we need you to deposit this check Don’t bite. And keep the faith. You will find legitimate employment. You got this! #fraudprevention #fraudawareness #scamprevention #scamawareness #scamalert
