Scammers may even pose as "recruiters" on LinkedIn and other job sites. ❌ **How to Spot a Job Scam:** Protect yourself by following these steps recommended by the FTC: 1. Unfortunately, Omnicell, like many other organizations, has observed an increase in fake job offers and interview phishing scams.   🔍 What to Look Out For: ◾ Unsolicited job offers or interview requests via text or email. ◾ Requests to click on links, open PDFs, or provide personal information. ◾ Communications not originating from an official Omnicell email address (ending in @omnicell.com).   📧 Remember: ◾ Omnicell will never send job solicitations in such a manner. ◾ All legitimate Omnicell correspondence will come exclusively from an email address ending in @omnicell.com.   ❗ If You Encounter a Scam: 1. 📢 Beware of Fake Job Offers: My Personal Story 👀 I applied for a position at a well-known global brand and was contacted by a recruiter. After exchanging a few emails, completing a test, and doing a written “interview,” I was thrilled to receive a job offer. But I noticed something unusual – the email address did not originate from an official company domain. Sensing something was off, I insisted on continuing our communication through official company channels and requested the name(s) of the HR personnel who would handle the next steps and onboarding. As I expected, the emails stopped immediately. This experience was a harsh reminder to always be vigilant when applying for jobs. Scammers can be very convincing, but there are always red flags to watch out for, such as unofficial email addresses, unrealistic promises, and unprofessional communication. I want to end this on a positive note and remind everyone to be careful and look out for these warning signs. How much do organizations earn for fake job postings ? This hurts the applicant and exposes the innocent applicant to fraud, abuse, identity theft ,victimization. Three ways of fraud - false representation, failing to disclose information with integrity, fraud by abuse of position, money laundering and corruption. If these two large organizations in the US need funds to pay their operations to be ongoing charge a basic membership fee across the board from all members of $7.50 a month , to be honest to run their organization with integrity .
