When you set goals based on your strengths, you align your natural behaviors and tendencies with what you want to achieve, making it easier to stay engaged, motivated and on track. Less than half of employees consider their strengths when setting goals. How can you make sure to include your strengths in your goals this year? https://lnkd.in/gqXvE_NJ

Thank you. Recent days, I also think about strength connection to skill. Is there anyone to think about this or any research that I can refer to??

In my mind it is important to incorporate strengths in the "how". Sometimes the "what" is fixed (especially in a corporate environment, where KPI are cascaded), but thinking about the "how" allows us to work towards them in a way that resonates with us.

This is why Strengths-based coaching is so important. It’s easy to just take the assessment and use the Talent Themes as labels. It takes effort to home the Talents every day so they become Strengths that lead to success for individuals and teams.

I work nights. Some nights "get up and go to work" is the best goal I can set. Being a night owl this does in a roundabout way play to my strengths. In my line of work, we do the same products every day and only the weather reported on them changes. It's not a project-driven kind of job, rather a daily grind repetitive thing. That suits me and my work style just fine, and I mostly enjoy everything I do. I had goals for the first 20 years of my career and I've achieved all of them. I'm really happy to just get to exist and enjoy what I've earned and reap the reward without the need to set more goals.
