How is FeldCare Direct a resource for doctors, rehab centers, discharge planners, and more? Our network of physical, occupational, and speech therapists supports your in-home outpatient patients by offering concierge, in-home service. It’s easy to use the network and refer out your rehab patients. Here’s a quick overview of the referral process: Step One: Call (818) 538-5880 to connect with the FeldCare team, or send the in-home outpatient referral via fax at (818) 616-6676, and we will check your patient’s eligibility. Step Two: Once billing knows a patient is eligible, the doctor’s order and consent form is obtained. Step Three: An OT, PT, or SLP utilizing the FeldCare Direct network will connect with the patient referral. From here, the therapist will begin the plan of care. What? Charge less for the same exceptional care?! Yes, indeed. Because it's the right thing to do. Intermountain Health has moved all Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology clinics in Utah away from a hospital designation to a clinic designation. This allows us to: -Lower costs for patients -Compliantly provide virtual care -SERVE OUR COMMUNITY! Really this is a no-brainer and I challenge all hospital-based practices to make the same move. Sounds simple? It. Was. Not. Simple. This involved significant clinical, legal, compliance, finance, IT, HR, operational, contracting, credentialing, enrollment, analytics, marketing, revenue cycle, and strategic considerations. That's ok. Let's do hard things to make healthcare more affordable! I am so proud of the team that made this happen! Are you familiar with the REDUCE Act (H.R. 7279)? Keep reading to learn what this bipartisan legislation aims to do and how to advocate! Reps. Don Davis and Lloyd Smucker introduced the Remove Duplicative Unnecessary Clerical Exchanges (REDUCE) Act (H.R. 7279) which aims to eliminate the requirement for a signed plan of care for Medicare beneficiaries if the patient already has a signed referral. Currently, Medicare mandates that physical therapists (PTs), occupational therapists (OTs), and speech-language pathologists (SLPs) must obtain a signed plan of care within 30 days of evaluation, which can pose challenges if the referring physician is unavailable. The REDUCE Act seeks to alleviate administrative burdens on healthcare providers and streamline patient care processes by removing this requirement, ultimately enhancing efficiency in healthcare delivery.
