As a US education provider, are you prepared to address needs and gaps in Europe? From Susan Yarbrough, CHCP, FACEhp’s perspective, it's essential to recognize that international CME isn't a mirror image of the U.S. approach. It requires cultural humility and a departure from the 'one-size-fits-all' mentality. While U.S. guidelines may be excellent, they may not perfectly align with global standards. Before diving in, ask yourself: How can I bring genuine value to learners in different regions? Whether it's a fresh perspective, expertise, or something else, it needs to bring value and ensure it meets the unique needs of the audience. We are actively seeking colleagues to join our Quality panel pool for events in 23/24 and 24/25. Every year a number of approval and review events take place at Edinburgh Napier University and these are absolutely reliant on colleagues who volunteer their time and expertise to participate on these panels. Contributing to University-level events demonstrates institutional citizenship, supports capacity building and allows you to demonstrate contribution to a University-level decision-making group, shaping and influencing provision (of the provision under review and how you use your experience to influence and enhance practice within your own subject area). For staff considering seeking SFHEA or PFHEA, participating in, or convening an ILR (Institution Led Review) adds depth and elements of leadership to your role in teaching and/or supporting learning and, in particular, provides evidence against K6 within the UKPSF. Line managers, if you have colleagues considering working toward Senior or Principal Fellowship of Advance HE, please do encourage them to become panel members University-level quality events also require close work with external panel members – extending your professional network. The confidence and experienced gained in our internal events may also support you in securing similar positions beyond the University, supporting you to extend you external influence. We have a number of events coming up and we are actively seeking to extend and develop our pool of panel members (convenors; academic peers and professional services reps). 🌍✨ ELRN Workshops 2024 Recap 🗓️ On March 11th, the ELRN Workshops 2024 convened online, marking a significant gathering that drew in 41 Contact Points and members from 18 European countries. Throughout the event, discussions were rich and varied, covering a spectrum of topics crucial to the future of land registry. ELRA President Mihai Taus set the stage with a comprehensive presentation, offering insights that guided the discourse. From discussions on EU instrument implementation to exploring the impact of Rights for Nature in Land Registration, the workshops provided valuable perspectives. Ana Luisa Freitas elaborated on the applicability of the Succession Regulation, shedding light on its implications for individuals and regulatory frameworks. Jacques Vos introduced a new topic, sparking discussions on the potential effects of Rights for Nature in Land Registration. Francisco Javier Gimeno Chocarro led a practical case study, providing participants with a hands-on examination of European deed registration processes. The discussions were further enriched by Paulo Garcez Vieira's exploration of the Unique Parcel Identification Number and Mª Teresa Tourinan's summary of property purchase restrictions. Throughout the workshops, Francisco J. Gimeno moderated the discussions effectively, ensuring that all viewpoints were heard and guiding the conversation towards fruitful outcomes. As we reflect on the insights gained and the discussions held, we extend our gratitude to all participants for their valuable contributions. 👏

Rights of Nature, a heavily discussed topic in (e.g.) environmental law. During the European Land Registry Association (ELRA) network workshop I introduced this topic, focussing on the possible impact of #RightsofNature for #LandRegisters, such as Kadaster.
