I'm wondering about best practices for screenshots, specifically: 1) What the best resolution is 2) How zoomed in on the code the image should be I can use common sense to answer these questions, but I'd love to know what other content creators and writers think! 💡

Hi network! Today I wanted to share with all of you a personal project I have been working on for a few years. What started as a little experimentation with QT's graphic scenes has become a fully operational node editor! The main aim of this project is to provide a high-level visual editing tool that can help reducing code duplication as much as possible. For all of us who work in the movie industry, we can agree that our code tends to have way too many of these: PROJECT = os.getenv("PROJECT") Why not just having ONE little node that we can reuse every time? I had to improve my level editor tool to support branching roads. It was a bit challenging but I love how it turned out. Previously I have to create a new level object for each branched road and this was slowing the level creation, what if I have to create 20+ branched road. Editor tools should make your job easy, shouldn't it? That's why I rewrote the level editor tool. Beside supporting branched roads, I also added more GUI elements to do everything in the scene panel. #unity #gamedev #gamedevelopment #indiedev

A follow-up to yesterday's post about MMU (Automating the process of moving stuff between Maya and Unreal). The script is still in a pre-release stage, but here's all I've added in the past 24 hours: •Implemented MMU into the Unreal File dropdown •Added File Dialogue menu to choose bin/plugin/scene paths •Added the option to allow the user to import one FBX per child set, or one FBX per scene •Successful runs of the program save the inputted dirs for the next time it is opened (Saves the user re-inputting custom Maya installation paths) •Improved logging for inevitable bug fixing •Improved overall robust-ness (Maya scene doesn't need to be layed out as specifically) Follow the project: https://lnkd.in/eKVD_byD
