Promoting a healthy lifestyle is at the heart of COAF's mission. 🩺✨ We’re excited to share the “Ambassador of a Healthy Lifestyle” competition, a joint campaign by the RA Ministry of Health and partner companies. The program wraps up with a six-day camp taking place now at the COAF SMART Center in Lori! 🎯 This campaign encouraged secondary schools across Armenia to create innovative projects on healthy living. The winners in four key categories will become true ambassadors of a healthy lifestyle and culture. 5 things the NYSC orientation camp does to you Having been in the same space with thousands of other Nigerian graduates for 3 weeks, here are a few things the exercise made me understand 1. Uniformity The decision to make us wear the same cloth, cap, shoes and IDs makes us all see ourselves as the same in camp. What we could see physically affected us mentally in words and in actions. That explains why we’re in shock when we see our fellow corp members in mufti😅 2. Diversity and unity We know how diverse the cultures in Nigeria is and the scheme has successfully worked on fostering unity amongst ourselves by taking people from the north to the east, south south to the west and vice versa. We’ve had to relate with people who don’t speak or understand our native dialect and that makes you see the beauty in diversity 3. Adaptability and Resilience Ohh… what a time in camp! The rigorous and strenuous schedule can cause sores and pain all over your body. Whoever stayed till the end of the 3 weeks definitely is resilient and can adapt to situations. Meeting people also helps because you all can push and motivate each other to make things work 4. Teamwork makes the dream work This is about how we’re split into platoons and the interplatoon competitions. I saw how just hyping up your platoon during competitions can help you win. This brings out our competition energy amd desire to come first which in turn makes us brain storm, rehearse and prepare together 5. Love and respect for Nigeria To be very honest, reflecting on my experience in camp, I realized that I regard my country more now. The standing at attention when the anthem and pledge is on, the respect for solders and those in high authority, and of course the subtle reminder that Nigeria can actually be great again was important I think every Nigerian youth should be a part of the NYSC program especially the orientation camp. Check me out on other social media platforms for more on my camping experience If you’ve served Nigeria, how was it for you? #nigerian #nigeriagraduate #nyscprogram #nyscorientationcamp #nysc #mycampingexperience

In today's session of the Amal Fellowship, I learned about the concepts of "Khudi" and "Amal" and they linked with each other. We also created an HWPC (Health, Work, Play, Connection) dashboard, which was new for me. Q: How do you perceive the evolution of "Khudi" from beginning to end. Khudi is a part before, during, and after Amal? I want to tag Rabia for today! ✨ #ExistTicket-Session2 #AmalFellowship #SpringSemester24 Amal Academy

Outdoor Fun Activity! Outdoor activities are an integral part of the SRF Foundation's Anganwadi Development Program. In the outdoor activities children develop gross motor skills, enhance bilateral coordination, learn social skills, and fun with friends. A simple activity of standing in the circle and playing a game brings smile to the faces of all in the game. #srffoundation #srffoundationimpacts #anganwadidevelopment #ruraleducation #ruraldevelopment #kidsdecvelopment

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” - Nelson Mandela. Research by UNESCO has shown that achieving universal primary and secondary attainment in the adult population would help lift 420 million people out of poverty and would reduce the number of poor worldwide to half. In the same report, UNESCO outlined several key outcomes as a result of a quality education: • Education reduces inequality • Education protects men and women from exploitation • Education provides opportunities • Education empowers vulnerable women • Education increases productivity • Education increases resilience to global disasters It’s clear that education is key to raising Uganda’s future leaders. So, this year Watoto Australia is committed to providing the best possible environment for learning for 1500 of our Watoto students by renovating 20 of our main classroom blocks on our Watoto villages.
