This tool is meant for evaluation. As caregivers you often forget about yourself, and if you don't forget, you often feel the weight and heavy burden of "having" to forget about yourself. But for the sake of your health and even the health of the ones you are caring for DON'T FORGET yourself! And even more so, DON'T NEGLECT yourself. I could go on to share all the saying like "you can't pour from an empty cup" or "me time is not selfish, its necessary". But the reality is that you already know all that, but It doesn't change the pressures and demands of your current reality, and it most likely won't change your tendencies around self-care. So instead I made this tool so that you could self-evaluate and get a good look at how often you take care of your mind, body and soul. It's simple, write down your start date and see how many days it takes for you to check off all the listed self-care activities. From there you get to determine whether or not your self-care tendencies are best for you and determine what changes you might need to make. (If you need, I can help with that, or I can point you in the direction of someone else who can) Then do it again. I challenge you to do all the listed activities the first time, and if you find one truly unenjoyable, please cross it out and write your own in its place.
