Geraldine Manossa is on a mission to reimagine health frameworks. Her academic research focuses on developing a land-informed health framework in collaboration with First Nations communities and health partners to integrate Indigenous cultural practices into mainstream health systems. “It’s taking that step back to build relationships so health partners can understand what a health framework looks like driven from, for example, a Cree worldview of health and wellness, and to utilize that framework to develop a specific cultural health model in primary health care settings. That’s my goal.” Read more: https://bit.ly/3XWLOuT

By providing accessible, high-quality care, these centers are instrumental in reducing health disparities, especially among historically marginalized groups. They excel in managing chronic diseases and perinatal health, often outperforming national averages in healthcare quality measures. Prioritize your Health❤️🩹 on today's April 7th World Health Day I would like to share a few takeaways about this year's theme on World Health Day The theme for World Health Day 2024, "My health, my right," underscores the fundamental principle that every individual has the inherent right to access healthcare services that cater to their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This theme emphasizes the importance of empowering individuals to take ownership of their health, make informed decisions, and advocate for their rights in healthcare settings. In a global context where disparities in healthcare access and quality persist, this theme serves as a reminder that health is not just a privilege for the few, but a fundamental right for all. By promoting awareness and education around this theme, World Health Day 2024 aims to inspire individuals to prioritize their health, demand equitable healthcare services, and work towards achieving universal health coverage for all. Good sleep is one of the recipes for good health. Prioritize your health today and live a better tomorrow. #HappySunday #Wellbeing #GHoP #WorldHealthDay
