The dogmatic believes of today's society. The process of respiration generates CO2 during exhalation. A person generates 2.4 pounds of CO2 each day. If the goal of society is to have zero CO2 population can go to zero and still won't be achieved. What the insanity is going to is paying taxes for the right to breath out CO2, carbon tax. It will be as obliquitous as property taxes. Plants absorb CO2, consume the carbon and release the oxygen. Did you know: 40% of CO2 emissions come from construction? 🏡 Because of all the materials and energy use for our buildings. 30% of our waste is construction waste too. That’s 1.3 billion tons/year (or two full New Yorks of buildings that we throw away each year!) That’s why real estate and construction need to innovate heavily. To cut emissions & become circular. Without them, there is no net-zero! I spoke with Laurence Gacoin, CEO at C-energy & C-innovation to learn what they do for sustainability & circularity. #Sustainability is a fundamental pillar of the corporate culture at 011h. That's why we not only apply sustainability in our buildings but also in our offices. In 2023, we reduced our energy consumption by over 10% in kWh and over 25% in cost, thanks to optimization and efficient management of lighting and climate control systems. Additionally, all the energy we use is 100% renewable. Our approach is to first reduce, then consume with minimal environmental impact.
