Glad to share that I’ll be a speaker at the She Is Tech Conference on January 25! In the speech "Glass ceiling for women in the IT industry - a natural obstacle or a myth," I will argue if a glass ceiling still exists and if we can even prove it. Is it true that women in the IT industry naturally face more obstacles than men when progressing in their careers? We have all heard about the glass ceiling term, yet many myths have grown around it. I will present the primary reasons holding women back in their careers that I have been struggling with professionally and try to show solutions for building career paths effectively. The number of women in the IT industry is constantly growing, yet we do not observe significant growth in managerial and leadership positions. One reason might be the lack of role models for women already working in tech. That is why I am happy to be a part of an event like She is Tech organised by Intellias which ideally responds to this need, showing inspiring histories of successful women and their career paths in technology! I am proud that we have such an initiative within SoDA - Software Development Association Poland members. And thank you Agata Wabnic for the invitation! What you can expect: • Free access to streams • 10+ hours of insightful discussions • Speakers from Portugal, Spain, Poland, Ukraine, and Bulgaria • 1000+ participants • Discord networking community for participants Join the conference, and feel free to write your questions in the comments! https://www.sheis.tech/

🚀We have an exciting announcement!🚀 Instant Impact has partnered with Women in Tech forum to give our employees an incredible learning opportunity!💡 Louise Fraser, our People & Culture Director, shared her thoughts on this partnership: "This partnership is such an exciting step for us in our EDI journey! We are proud to partner with the Women in Tech forum, supporting our team members in developing lifelong skills that will help them grow and flourish in their careers." We wanted to give the women and allies at our organisation the chance to learn from some of the best. This partnership allows us to engage with tailored content, and Jessica Morgan, our Director of Operations, highlighted how flexible the platform is: “One of the great things about this platform is that it's self-serve, which allows women to engage with the content they feel they can benefit from the most at a time that suits them the most. That ability to do this based on our individual needs reflects the reality that personal development doesn’t work with a one-size-fits-all approach. By partnering with the Women in Tech platform, we can choose to join panels as speakers or listeners, or simply leverage the network with other inspiring women as a place to learn and meet people, which is such an amazing thing to be able to offer our teams.” Angharad, Louise, Jessica, Rachael, Alice, Cathy, Andrea, Mollie, Ania, and Lauren, we'd love for you to share your thoughts in the comments on how you've found using the Women In Tech Forum. #WomeninTech #DEI #RPO #TalentAcquisition

How do you feel after a networking event? Inspired or exhausted? I am inspired and riding high after last night's Happy Hour for Female Founders at Chicago Tech Week hosted by Ari Krzyzek and Kelsey Gilbert-Kreiling, fellow members in The Female Founder Collective 10th House. I met so many inspiring women as we got to know each other and shared about our work, celebrating wins together, and asking "how can I help" when we candidly shared challenges. Because this was instantly a safe space with women - founders, partners, and, yes, consultants - wanting to help each other make a difference and drive positive change in tech. Thank you, Ari and Kelsey, for bringing us together to connect! If you need websites that get results or inspiring speakers, check-out Ari's company Chykalophia and Kelsey's company Week of the Website. It's impressive what they can do -- and how quickly their teams get it done! I'll be riding this inspiration straight into today's TechChicago events filled with inspiring speakers and attendees..! #techchicagoweek #femalefounders

Founder at SLOVA Tech PR | Best PR leader by Davos Communications Awards | Co-founder of Wtech, a community for women in tech in 40 countries | Techstars Sustainability Paris mentor
What does it take to create a community? That's the question we tackled at the She Is Tech Conference with these incredible speakers Marisol Menendez, Vânia G., Ivelina Chaldakova, Antonija Bilic Arar, Bianka Siwinska, PhD. It was a great opportunity to learn about female communities from different countries and hear how they empower thousands of women to change jobs, build networks, and start businesses. It also made me proud to share stories from our own Wtech community. If you ask me about my golden rules for building a thriving community, I’d say: 1️⃣ Find your focus. A clear vision, mission, and problem you solve are like a compass. Be laser-focused on your niche, and you'll change the world one step at a time. 2️⃣ Unite and be united. Building a community isn't just about members but also about bringing together mentors, partners, other communities, and key players in your ecosystem. Sharing experiences and learning from each other makes the whole thing bigger and brighter. 3️⃣ Think global, act local. We've grown to 34 countries in just 2 years, and we're not stopping! We blend global reach with local touch by partnering with local communities and mentors to welcome women worldwide. Events like She Is Tech Conference are always inspiring and motivating. We need more women in leading positions. We need to keep pushing forward. And I’m super happy to be part of this movement! 🔥

5 years ago, I often found myself as one of the few women in hackathon teams or meeting rooms, navigating challenges that felt lonely and discouraging. That's why hosting this Women in Tech event feels so empowering. Here, we can come together, share experiences, and lift each other up. It truly warms my heart to see so many smiling faces and feel the positive energy in the room. 💛 This event was born from a spark of inspiration after my amazing co-host, YingTi Liao, attended a similar conference in Seattle. We asked ourselves, "Why not bring that supportive spirit to Vancouver?" And we did it! 🎉 A heartfelt thank you to: - YingTi Liao for her brilliant ideas, co-hosting, moderating, and speaking 🌟 - Anna Baird for sharing her inspiring Google journey at keynote 🚀 - Our panelists Talwinder K., Shwetha Gopalan from Amazon and Microsoft for their candid insights at panel discussion 💡 - Rakshanda Agarwal, Procheta Nag 🥽, Riya Eliza Shaju for leading engaging group discussions 🤝 - Tony - Thawatchai Saengthamchai and all our dedicated volunteers ✨ - My friends, especially Nianyi(Iris) Luo and Nivedita Gaur, for your unwavering support 💖 - Northeastern University for the fantastic venue 🏫 - Jam.dev for keeping us fueled with great food 🍣 This day of connection and empowerment was just the beginning. To all the incredible women in tech out there: Keep pushing boundaries, supporting each other, and making your mark in the industry. You're capable of amazing things! 💫 Let's continue building this supportive community together. What topics or events would you like to see next? Share your ideas in the comments! #WomenInTech #VancouverTech #CommunitySupport #TechEmpowerment
