New look TAWS! Take a look at our new logo, look and vibe all wrapped up with how we communicate our values and aims. There has been an enormous amount of work gone into this rebrand across the organisation and I have so much appreciation to everyone who has helped this along. Especially so to sameena bibi and Matilda Gillings who have worked incredibly hard on this. Most importantly though, everyone who works for TAWS just hopes that the new look reflects for you as our partners, the way you can expect to work with us; and for community members, the service they can expect from us. The new logo is a green A in a bold natural form font, with a winding path forming its centre arch. Next to this a dark navy W in thin curly font. This has a line from its upper left point which reaches around the A as if in a supportive embrace. Other icons representing the charities brand pillars are shown including waving parallel lines to represent 'resilience' among others. It moves on to show more icons to represent our values including 'Open Heart' shown as a heart with two cloud cut outs on either side. Here's a simple case of how accessibility benefits everyone! Read and share. Meena's wedding preparations take an unexpected turn as she navigates the world of digital invitations. Excited to share her joy, she crafts a beautiful video invite for her upcoming nuptials. But knowing some friends are blind, she ensures each digital invite is accompanied by a textual version. Little did she know, this foresight would benefit more than just her visually impaired guests. When a technical glitch prevents the video from loading on some devices, the textual invite becomes a lifesaver for many. Suddenly, what was intended as an accessibility measure becomes universally appreciated. This simple act of inclusion demonstrates a powerful truth: Accessibility benefits everyone. By considering diverse needs, Meena inadvertently created a solution that served all her guests, regardless of their abilities or technical issues. In our increasingly digital world, shouldn't we design with everyone in mind? Why should anyone miss out on life's precious moments due to overlooked accessibility features? If event planners and digital designers embraced universal design principles, multi-format invitations would be the norm.
