Why choose Kimball Midwest for a career opportunity?
One of many reasons chose Kimball Midwest because I am one of the strongest believers and promoters of continuous improvement you will find. I have a craving for knowledge and have my whole life. Kimball Midwest aligns with this well. Many companies say a lot of things on paper but don’t back them up or do them very minimally.
Kimball Midwest is continually improving and bettering itself as a company and helping its people become the best, most productive versions of themselves.
If you want the best choose Kimball Midwest!

These folks right here! These are real MVPs when it comes to the operations you see out in the park. They are the engine that keeps the wheels of Ride Operations turning. You see all those ride operators out there staffing rides, these guys made sure they were there for you. You see those rides testing, these guys made sure every single one of them are safe for you. You see all those associates brooms in hand cleaning, these guys brought that broom to them. When I tell you the role of these guys right here is important, I mean we 100000% could not do it without them. And it’s truly a pleasure to do so with people who are so passionate about the industry and working with people.
When it comes to writing nominations for our Values awards, sometimes the words can be hard to find to summarize a great contribution to the team in a few short sentences. But let me tell you, when it comes to the definition and meaning of what our Cornerstones and Core Values are, these folks right here would be the picture in the dictionary.
Please join me in celebrating them for receiving their Values awards for all the hard work they do day in and day out.
I recently celebrated 3 years with Options Medical Weight Loss, and 1 year as a clinic manager. Although challenging at times, being a young leader has been the greatest opportunity I’ve had as a professional. Here are a few things I’ve learned along the way:
1) When your team feels cared for, and when you are all passionately working towards a common goal, the KPI’s will take care of themselves.
2) We can learn something from every conversation- especially the tough ones.
3)You are not hurting a team members feelings by sharing constructive criticism/feedback. You would be doing them a disservice by keeping it to yourself.
4)It is easy to want to solve everyone’s problems for them. Instead, take the time to work through it with them the first time, so that they can solve it on their own in the future.
5) There is nothing more rewarding than seeing your team members achieving new heights.
6) Being a leader isn’t about doing great things- It’s about empowering your team to do great things.
The list goes on, but as I look back on my first year as a clinic manager, I am grateful for every challenge and every learning opportunity, as they have made me a better leader. I am looking forward to further developing my leadership skills and changing more lives with Options in 2024!
Here's how you can exude confidence during property inspections and showings1Know Your StuffBefore stepping into a showing or inspection, ensure you're armed with all the necessary information about the property. This includes understanding the property's features, history, and any maintenance issues that have been addressed or are pending. When you can answer questions on the spot and provide detailed explanations, you signal to prospects that you're a reliable and authoritative source, which builds trust and confidence in your ability to manage the property. This is where invited experts will be adding contribution.2Dress the PartFirst impressions matter and your appearance plays a significant role in how others perceive your confidence. Dressing professionally for property inspections and showings sends a message that you take your role seriously. It's not just about wearing a suit; it's about choosing attire that is clean, well-fitted, and appropriate for the property's style and the expectations of your audience.3Positive Body LanguageYour body language speaks volumes before you even say a word. Maintain eye contact, offer a firm handshake, and stand tall with your shoulders back. These non-verbal cues project self-assuredness. Additionally, a genuine smile can make you appear more approachable and friendly, which can help put prospective tenants or buyers at ease.4Clear CommunicationCommunicating clearly and concisely is essential during showings and inspections. Avoid using jargon that might confuse your audience, and instead, explain terms in simple language. Speak at a measured pace, loud enough to be easily heard. By ensuring your message is understood, you demonstrate command over the subject matter and respect for your audience's comprehension.5Anticipate QuestionsProspective tenants and buyers will likely have questions, so anticipate these inquiries and prepare your responses in advance. Knowing the common concerns and interests related to the property allows you to address them proactively, which can impress your audience and further establish your expertise and preparedness.6Handle ObjectionsHandling objections gracefully is a true test of confidence. Stay calm and listen carefully to any concerns raised. Acknowledge the validity of the concern and provide a thoughtful, solution-oriented response. This shows that you are not only confident in the property's value but also in your ability to manage any issues that may arise
Congratulations on this incredible achievement! Being named Employee of the Month is a testament to your hard work and dedication. You’ve set a great example for everyone, and we are excited to see what you’ll accomplish in the future."

Was it the right decision?
A question I've gotten many times. And even after one year (today!) at Finance in Motion, I still refer to it as my "new job." Can a job still be new after a year? Maybe it's because I learn something new every single day.
After 9 years in my previous role, I craved a fresh challenge, and FiM delivered. I'm reminded daily that many things can be true at the same time.
Here's what I've learnt so far:
♥ You can thrive on development while sometimes longing for the familiarity of a past role where you rocked.
♥ You might think team leadership isn't for you until you manage a small but kick-ass team and feel genuinely appreciated.
♥ Being a people person doesn’t always make it easier to handle new stakeholders and dynamics.
♥ Some things worked well, others not. Lesson: do more of the things that worked well. For myself as well.
♥ You truly realize your desire to grow when you have a boss who motivates and pushes you forward every day.
So yes, it was the right decision. And I'm ready to take on year 2, let's do this!
