📣 Men, Let's Take Action for Gender Equality at Work Today, I want to call on everyone, especially the men in our professional network, to help us achieve gender equality in our workplace. As men, you have a significant role to play in making our workplace fair and supportive for everyone. Here are some ideas: 1- Educate Ourselves: ✅ Listen to Women’s Voices: Engage with the content and perspectives shared by women in your network. ✅ Read and Learn: Dedicate time to reading articles or watching videos about gender bias and equality. ✅ Attend Workshops: Participate in diversity and inclusion training sessions 🥇 By educating ourselves, we become more aware of the challenges women face and better equipped to support and advocate for gender equality. 2- Speak Up: ✅ Address Inappropriate Comments: If you hear a disrespectful joke or comment, address it. ✅ Echo and Amplify: Support women’s ideas by echoing and giving them credit publicly. 🥇Speaking up helps create a respectful and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and heard. 3- Support and Mentor: ✅ Offer Mentorship: Volunteer to mentor female colleagues and provide career guidance. ✅ Recommend for Opportunities: Actively recommend women for leadership roles and projects. 🥇Supporting and mentoring women can significantly impact their career growth and confidence, leading to a more diverse leadership team. 4- Promote Inclusivity: ✅ Encourage Participation: In meetings, ensure female colleagues have the opportunity to speak. ✅ Value Contributions: Acknowledge and credit ideas and contributions made by women. 🥇Promoting inclusivity ensures diverse perspectives are heard and valued, leading to better decision-making and innovation. 5- Lead by Example: ✅ Practice Work-Life Balance: Utilise and support policies like flexible hours and parental leave. ✅ Model Respectful Behaviour: Demonstrate respect in all interactions and decisions. 🥇This helps break down stereotypes about gender roles at home and at work, showing that both men and women can share responsibilities equally. By modeling this behaviour, we encourage a more supportive and flexible workplace culture for all employees. 🤝 Let’s all commit to continuing this positive momentum and supporting gender equality in our workplace. ❓ And you? How are you taking action to promote gender equality at work? Share your thoughts and experiences below! #genderequality #women #work

International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th each year. It is the day that honors the significant contributions and achievements of women in various fields and commemorates women’s pursuit of peace, equality, and development. The campaign theme of 2024 IWD is “Inspire Inclusion.” It calls for breaking down barriers, challenging stereotypes, and creating a society that values and respects women. Inclusion requires an in-depth understanding of gender equality. Gender equality is not equal to gender balance or team diversity. Inclusion emphasizes to provide equal opportunities for women based on their talents, recognize women’s contributions, increase the proportion of women in leadership and decision-making positions, and prevent the marginalization of women in teams and society. V-BRYGE is committed to promoting gender equality and engaged in providing opportunities for female researchers and young professionals. We recognize that diverse perspectives enrich our intellectual landscape and foster innovation. By actively promoting gender equality, we aim to create an inclusive environment where all voices are heard and respected. In this case, we interviewed the presidents, research co-leads, and researchers from V-BRYGE 2024, as well as insightful young researchers who focus on women leadership studies, about the topic of “Inspire Inclusion.” We sincerely appreciate the following researchers taking the time to join this interview: Boyuan Gao(Co-President of V-BRYGE 2024), Fan Yang(Co-President of V-BRYGE 2024), Mathilde Barge (Research Lead of Technology and Innovation), Youtong Liu (Research Co-Lead of Cultural Exchange and Diplomacy), Ziya (Helen) Guo (Researcher of Cultural Exchange and Diplomacy), Siyi He (Researcher of Technology and Innovation), Jingxuan Li (Researcher of Sustainability and Economic Development), Kelu Ren (Johns Hopkins SAIS), Yiyao Sun (Researcher of Sustainability and Economic Development), and Shuyu Wang (Johns Hopkins SAIS). #internationalwomensday #inspireinclusion #genderequality #womenempowerment

🌟International Women’s Day might be over, but the commitment to gender equality should not be bound to a specific day! I'm happy to share that after six months, I have completed the Target Gender Equality Accelerator Program by UN Global Compact Netzwerk Deutschland. Joining this program was a significant step towards understanding how we can foster true change to more gender equality in companies. Here are some key takeaways: 📊 Data is Crucial: Measurement is crucial in understanding the current status and persuading stakeholders. The WEP Gender Gap Tool has been key in this regard. 💡 Addressing Unconscious Bias: Launching unconscious bias training at Everphone has shown positive effects. Resources like Lean In's 50 Ways to Fight Bias provide extensive and helpful materials. 🤝 Building Allies: Allies, particularly within leadership teams, are vital for raising awareness and driving meaningful action. I look forward to applying these findings in the future in collaboration with our ERG Female Empowerment. Do you have any valuable materials or trainings to share on this journey?

💡 Another weekly tip from Insight Change Ltd to help improve diversity, inclusion and balance in the workplace. 💡 ⚡ Tip 3 Everyone Responsible💼🌍 Gender equality is not just a woman's job, and diversity is not just the global majorities’ problem. 📊 Research shows that women and numerical minorities must work harder, be better, be stronger and say yes to more than their white male counter parts. Countless studies have shown and continue to show the pressure of the double-burden and tokenism to name a few. Achieving a truly equal and diverse workplace requires everyone's commitment. 🌏 Here are three simple yet powerful ways you can contribute: Educate Yourself and Others: Start by understanding the importance of equality and diversity in the workplace. Share resources, attend workshops, and engage in conversations that broaden your perspective. Engage in Active Allyship (Partnerships): Active allyship means more than just supporting others from the sidelines. It involves forming partnerships across different groups, advocating for marginalized voices, and using your position to drive meaningful change. This can be as simple as championing someone from a different background or amplifying the ideas of underrepresented colleagues. Challenge Biases: Actively challenge stereotypes and biases, both within yourself and in your workplace. Speak up when you witness discrimination and encourage others to do the same. This links back to last weeks tip! – check it out At Insight Change Ltd, we believe that partnerships are key to fostering true inclusivity. We combine academic rigor and practical insight to help organizations build truly equal and diverse workplaces. We can support you in making a lasting impact. #EqualityForAll #DiversityMatters #InsightChange #ActiveAllyship #InclusiveWorkplace #GenderEquality #Continuousimprovement
