A BIG WIN in Germany!!! We have won in the latest EEG auction in Germany with our Peckelsheim repowering project. This marks CE's first new project in Germany - of many to come - and our first repowering project in general. In 2021, CE acquired the wind farm consisting of three 750 kW turbines. After optimizing its operations, our team swiftly obtained the necessary permits for repowering. We will take down two of the old turbines and install a new 4.3 MW machine with a total height of 230 meters. With this repowering, we will increase the site’s production of clean energy by 600 %! Though the project may be small in size, it is a big milestone for CE and proves our strategy is working in Germany. Our pipeline in Germany is constantly growing, adding MWs to our wind, solar and BESS portfolio. We are rapidly expanding our team in Berlin and are looking for amazing talents to help us drive the “Eneriewende”! 📍Project Manager Linkedin: https://lnkd.in/dUY6hXhD Stepstone: https://lnkd.in/dMaU-xJQ 📍 BESS Project Manager Linkedin: https://lnkd.in/dDzpB_ZJ Stepstone: https://lnkd.in/d3Q6VUnv 📍 Project Development Manager Linkedin: https://lnkd.in/dKK7wifg Stepstone: https://lnkd.in/dJbWXbxp 📍 Land Acquisition Manager Linkedin: https://lnkd.in/devVTFrM Stepstone: https://lnkd.in/d9XTWuwt

NEW FLOATING SOLAR PROJECT NEARSHORE IN TAIWAN - Discover Changbin FPV plant below 👇 Ciel & Terre Taiwan and HEXA Renewables completed one of the largest near-shore floating solar projects in Taiwan. In Changbin industrial zone, 280 MWp of floating solar have been designed and installed by Ciel & Terre Taiwan. A first project of 88 MWp was built in 2020 already, to which the 192 MWp of Changbin #3 and #4 extensions have just added up. The whole generates approximately 260GWh per annum, equivalent to energy consumption of 65,000 average households annually. One specifity of this project is the area it is installed on: protected near-shore but still intertidal area. It means sea water with two tides a day. Besides, occasional typhoons can happen. These central elements were obviously taken into acount in the design of this floating solar project, both of the floating solar platform and of its anchoring system. For the latter, Ciel & Terre Taiwan team, in collaboration with HEXA Renewables, successfully developed a patented technology composed of concrete pillars and H-beam system. The mobilised expertise of marine engineering companies, plastic mold companies, structural engineers, and hydraulic engineering experts ensures the reliability of this innovation. Discover more about the site features, the challenges met (key word: anchoring & innovation!) and testimonies about the running of the project in the article below! 👇 Featuring: » Bess, Project manager at Ciel & Terre Taiwan » George, Deputy General Manager of Ciel & Terre Taiwan. This large-scale and challenging floating solar project is the result of a solid partnership between Hexa Renewables and Ciel & Terre Taiwan, along with professional Taiwanese suppliers and EPC. MILAN, Aug 8 (Reuters) - China's MingYang Smart Energy (601615.SS), opens new tab, Italian energy firm Renexia and Italy's industry ministry have signed an agreement to set up a wind turbine manufacturing plant, the ministry said on Thursday. The deal envisages an investment of around 500 million euros ($546 million), the ministry said in a statement, without clarifying how the cost would be shared. The memorandum of understanding follows an announcement last week that an Italian company specialising in photovoltaic plants and a Chinese manufacturer of solar panel components had formed an alliance.Despite the challenge of shipping large turbines, MingYang and most other Chinese producers have no production facilities in Europe.Setting up production sites in cooperation with Chinese wind turbine and solar panel makers could prevent the loss of manufacturing skills in key supply chains, some European countries including Italy think."This important agreement allows us to develop turbine production in Italy and a national supply chain that will be extremely competitive," Industry Minister Adolfo Urso said in the statement. https://lnkd.in/e8Fpa97H

Our LinkedIn feed for England news from our EDF Renewables teams was dominated by hydrogen, batteries and solar in 2023. 🏆 We ended the year on a high, as our Tees Green Hydrogen project with Hynamics secured funding from the Net Zero Hydrogen Fund. Another pioneering project – Energy Superhub Oxford (ESO)– continued to garner a lot of interest this year, with visitors from the UK and overseas. 🔋 The ESO wasn’t our only battery story though in 2023… We opened a new battery site in Birmingham; began work on our sixth battery storage project in Suffolk; and received planning for sites in Essex, Norwich and Kent. ☀️ Solar was a big area of investment this year, with new solar farms proposed in Buckinghamshire, Cornwall and Lincolnshire. We also received planning consent for the Longfield Solar Farm in Essex, our first DCO (Development Consent Order) solar project in the UK. PLUS: we also made our biggest acquisition this year, in solar! In September, we acquired SAS ENERGY, specialists in solar technology for the commercial and industrial sectors. #Retrospective #YearInReview #RenewableEnergy #AcceleratingCleanEnergy

Italy has seen an around 10-fold jump in capacity awarded in its latest green auction compared to the one prior in September due to the rise in strike prices offered, data from state-owned energy services company GSE showed. Appropriate pricing signals were vital in future auctions and would help foster competition, said wind association Anev in a statement on Friday in light of result, with the strike price around 20% higher in comparison to the previous tender, when adjusted for inflation, according to Montel calculations. If the current support mechanism offered prices significantly below market value or if it pitted technologies with differing costs against each other, there was a risk of auctions being unsubscribed, it added. The relatively low number of excluded projects during the tender was another positive sign, indicative of the increasing quality of the projects, said Anev. The wind association’s comments came after GSE awarded 64%, or 1,041 MW, of the renewable energy capacity offered in the tender, which compared to just 102.7 MW, or 6%, of that allocated in September’s auction.
