Fantastic News for the #CultivatedMeat Community! 🍔  🍣 Big Congratulations to all our friends at Enantis for this big achievement on getting FGF-2 STAB® classified as a processing aid for #novelfoods production, and showing the safety of its potential residues in the end products 👏 After receiving the license for the patented FGF-2 STAB® sequence from Enantis, we were always encouraged to see our collaborators in the space improving their cell isolation protocols, and optimising their cell-yields in production by using this growth factor 🧫 At Core Biogenesis, we are excited to contribute in bringing this molecule to its maximum level through our sustainable biomanufacturing 🌱 🧪 Now, the high quality standards combined with the support from the regulatory side, will leave no doubt for this thermostable FGF-2 to become the new gold-standard in #stemcell production. 🚀 Exciting News for Enantis FoodTech! 🚀 We are thrilled to announce that Enantis has received a letter from the European Commission's Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (Santé) on the status of our FGF2-STAB® protein in the cultured meat industry. Key Highlights: Processing Aid: Our FGF2-STAB® protein is classified as a processing aid under Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008. This confirms that while there may be technically unavoidable residues, they pose no health risk. This milestone underscores the crucial role our protein plays in improving the efficiency and quality of cultured meat production. Non-GMO: Our FGF2-STAB® protein is not considered a GMO. The only applicable status would be “produced with” GMO which is not relevant for processing aids. FGF2-STAB® can be used in cultured meat products across the European market without the regulatory challenges associated with GMOs, as per Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003. This achievement highlights our commitment to innovative protein engineering that meets regulatory standards and supports the rapidly growing cultured meat industry.
