It's been an absolute pleasure to get a real insight into the development of this book and to help out Melanie Moore where I could. I found it easy to understand for someone like me, who has never been an active teacher but has worked in education for ten years. Mel is incredibly good at explaining things plainly, which is one of the reasons I like the Cornerstones' curriculum so much. I first read Donald Norman's The Design of Everyday Things several years ago and immediately started making connections to curriculum design and library instruction. As I wrap up the last weeks of teaching this school year, I remembered this quote from another of his books, Living with Complexity.
