Track Out Advisors: Advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Historically seen as exclusive and male-dominated, motorsports are now making significant strides in diversity and inclusion. Initiatives like the W Series, an all-female racing championship, are creating opportunities for women and promoting gender equity. This shift is broadening the talent pool and reflecting societal changes. Additionally, motorsports’ global nature brings together diverse teams and fans, offering companies a platform to celebrate cultural diversity and champion inclusion. Programs such as Formula 1’s “We Race As One” address issues of inequality and diversity, allowing corporate sponsors to highlight their commitment to fostering a more inclusive global community and enhancing their image as advocates for social justice. #motorsports #motorsportssponsorship #corporateevents #DEI #esg #sustainability #jdcmillermotorsports #portauthorityofnynj #portauthoritynynj #pseg #tdbank #porsche #porsche963 #advisors #motorsportsinvestment #sponsor #sponsorship #IMSA #stevanmcaleer #one10tenfoundation #one10ten #trackoutadvisors

When worlds collide… Last Friday, two of my passions – tennis and inclusion – came together in a real ‘pinch me’ moment. As a #Board #Director, and the #Treasurer, of Pride in Tennis, which works with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) for the progression of #LGBTQ+ inclusion in tennis at all levels across the UK, I was interviewed on the Centre Court at The Queen's Club for “Friday Pride Day”, which is being marked at all the major UK tournaments in the run-up to Wimbledon. I spoke with Pippa Horn about the importance of visibility, awareness and #allyship in promoting inclusion in all sports, including tennis, and about what everyone can do to be an #ally to the LGBTQ+ community. For good measure, I then did the on-court coin toss for the match between (and shook hands with) Tommy Paul – the eventual champion of the tournament – and my favourite player, Jack Draper. I have always believed in the power of #sport as a hugely positive force for inclusion – not only because it spans the human-made boundaries of geography, language and #culture, but also because it can foster an empowering sense of #belonging in those participating in it. For that to happen, though, sport needs to be a space where everyone can feel accepted and welcomed, regardless of their #SexualOrientation, #GenderIdentity or any other minority characteristic. So we need to encourage more #inclusive environments at all levels, from the grassroots and local clubs right up to the professional tours, so that authentic self-expression is encouraged and points of difference are seen as a cause for celebration. Sadly, in #tennis, there are currently no openly LGBTQ+ players on the men’s professional tour – a statistical impossibility, of course. America’s Brian Vahaly, who came out as #gay after retiring from professional tennis, explains what life on tour was like for him as a closeted LGBTQ+ person in an excellent new interview with the ATP Tour; please see the link in the comments below. 👇 If we are to change that unsatisfactory situation for current and future players, all ways to improve visibility, awareness and understanding – including by initiatives like these Friday Pride Days – are priceless. We look forward to the day when ALL sport can be a hotbed of #diversity and #inclusion. It will become so much the richer when it does so! I do enjoy a coffee often and better with a DEI Ally ... 💭 I had the best time with Brien Convery on Coffee with Convery. It was a pleasure to have time to talk about the stuff that really matters in how we can create safe environments and about perspectives. My only downside ... there was so much we talked about and connected with pre-recording! Hopefully a part 2 session in the near future 🔮 Please follow Brien and Coffee With Convery and let me know what you think or need to discuss more ... yes slide into my DMs if you feel more comfortable to ask. 🔗 Check out this podcast in the comments below. #dei #wellbeing #mentalhealth #psychologicalsafety #idea #coffeechats

On May 25, 2024, we celebrate the centennial of the first international football tournament featuring global representation, held during the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. This historic event is commemorated by the UN's proclamation of May 25 as World Football Day, a resolution passed on May 7, 2024 (A/RES/78/281). This resolution highlights football's extensive impact across commerce, peace, and diplomacy, acknowledging its power to foster cooperation and understanding. As a universal sport, football transcends national, cultural, and socio-economic boundaries, becoming a common language for people of all ages and backgrounds. Football's role extends beyond entertainment; it promotes health, well-being, and gender equality, empowering women and girls both on and off the field. Additionally, it serves as a powerful tool for social inclusion, uniting diverse communities and breaking down barriers to promote mutual respect and solidarity. As we celebrate World Football Day, let's recognize football's unique ability to bring people together and drive positive change globally.
