After a rest week, I’m back with 3 good news from the world of #LifeScience and #sustainability! (And an improved design) 🏥 Okos Diagnostics launched its eco-friendly at-home test kit. ‘ecoFluorecare’ is the world’s first eco-friendly at-home test kit, and Okos developed it with Microprofit Biotech! The first kits will detect COVID, Flu A&B, and RSV, which are some of the most common applications for rapid tests. Now, with Okos’s products, customers can choose more sustainable alternatives to the existing products on the market.  💅 L'Oréal and Debut Partner together to replace its existing cosmetics ingredients. With this collaboration, L'Oréal and Debut Biotech will develop over a dozen bio-identical ingredients. The goal is to replace many cosmetic ingredients across the many L’Oreal products by using advanced biomanufacturing techniques. Joshua Britton, CEO of Debut, highlighted how this partnership helps preserve biodiversity and contributes to a more transparent supply chain for beauty solutions. 💊 Pharmaforum's highlighted the results of prioritizing sustainability. Prioritizing sustainability in drug manufacturing is crucial for long-term growth. The pharmaceutical industry, producing over 200 million metric tonnes of CO2 annually, can significantly reduce its environmental footprint by adopting green chemistry and fusion-based technologies. These innovations not only lower costs but also improve operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. IQVIA highlighted how investments in sustainable practices are rising because they offer a competitive advantage and more innovation. Interesting - thought a Czech created the first lense! I've been wearing them for over 3 decades and there has been so much changing and improving in that time thankfully! But I agree Amy Webb we could do so much more - bring on 1️⃣ the increase in verifocal, transition lenses that I need. 2️⃣ myopia correcting lenses for kids without having to wear them at night, 3️⃣ extensive myopia and uveitis correcting lenses. These are just a few eye issues concerning technology that could be built in with advancement in tech and making it mode affordable. Then I would say the world of AI, VR, metaverse and augmented reality colliding with contact lenses would just be mindblowing 🔥and not that hard a concept to comprehend for mass market! Bring it on all your amazing inventors 💡and I'm more than happy to collaborate with my lived and work experience and expertise!! DM me please! Is this correct then or?
