Embarking on a new journey is always thrilling, and my recent plunge into the world of digital marketing at Padding has been nothing short of an exhilarating adventure. Join me as I share a glimpse into my first week, where excitement collided with a touch of chaos, creating a memorable start to this incredible chapter. From the moment I walked through the doors of Padding, I knew this was the dynamic environment I had been searching for. Joining as a Digital Marketing Intern felt like stepping into a realm of endless possibilities, and my anticipation reached new heights as I embraced the challenges that lay ahead. The warmth and camaraderie among my colleagues and leaders made my onboarding experience truly special. The support and encouragement I received from day one made me feel like an integral part of the Padding family. It's a community where ideas flow, and creativity knows no bounds. Speaking of creativity, my first week was a whirlwind of excitement and learning. Juggling the responsibilities of a digital marketing intern while managing my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) commitments added an extra layer of challenge. Yet, in the midst of it all, I found inspiration in the incredible individuals around me who seamlessly balanced multiple roles. This is me hailing those multitasking superheroes who effortlessly navigate between two or three jobs – it's safe to say they are the real MVPs. Witnessing such dedication has motivated me to push my limits and strive for excellence in every task. As I reflect on my initial days at Padding, I can't help but be grateful for the opportunities that have unfolded. The combination of enthusiasm, teamwork, and a hint of chaos has made my journey here an unforgettable one. I eagerly anticipate the projects, challenges, and triumphs that await me, knowing that each day brings new lessons and experiences. So, here's to embracing the digital adventure at Padding – where passion meets purpose, and every day is a step closer to achieving greatness. I'm thrilled to be part of this incredible team, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

My first marketing job was back in LA in 2010. I interned for a cool product placement agency a few minutes from my house. Yes, we worked with major studios and put on big brand events, but here’s what I remember most: - 🎬 Scouring books & scripts, looking for placement opportunities (“Hey Robin - have you heard of The Hunger Games? Not sure, but it seems like it might go somewhere…”). - 🎮 Trying to figure out what a virtual good was and how anyone could actually charge, let alone MAKE, real money on a branded item in a video game. #nftbeforenft - ❤️ The kindness and mentorship from Devery Holmes and the entire team at Spark Alliance Marketing. I was young, naive, and had no idea what it took to be a good marketer, let alone a real working “adult.” I’ll never forget sitting down at my manager’s gigantic corner desk, pondering what my future could hold. She didn’t ask me what I had learned in school or to solve a case study. She asked what I liked to do and what kind of life I wanted to lead. Between fielding fire drill phone calls and questions from major film studios, Devery took the time to to tell me about her family. She shared the triumphs and hardships of being the president of her own company, and how she balanced work with making time for her community and passions. Each day she showed me how to truly support a team (even the teeny college intern), build an inclusive environment, and get good work done. I had no idea then, but this would become the foundation for my leadership style. It’s been almost 15 years, but those lessons are still fresh in my mind. I’m eternally grateful to have had such an exemplary leader to look up to, and hope that I have brought even a smidge of that magic to my teams and advisory companies across the country. Thank you, Dev, and to everyone who has trusted me to lead. I learned from the best, and can’t wait to share more with you all. #marketingleadership #leadershipcoaching #teamdynamics #originstory #istilldontgetvirtualgoods #gratitude

Social Media Specialist & Lead Content Creator | GenZer Creating Social Media Content📱📸 | Digital Marketing
The Future of Brand Engagement: Employee Generated Content (EGC) 🌟🤳 I've always been a huge advocate for leading content creation within my brands and GALLO, now more than ever, I'm excited about the potential of Employee Generated Content (EGC). When I shared this concept with Paula Rizo and Lily, our amazing digital marketing interns, they were thrilled to start capturing authentic, behind-the-scenes and Day in the life content. Paula is a natural icon! 👏 Why is EGC the next big thing for brands? 📈 📢Authenticity: Consumers crave genuine stories and real experiences. EGC provides a window into the true culture and values of a brand. 📢 Trust: According to recent studies, 90% of consumers trust content from employees more than traditional advertising. 📢Engagement: Employee-generated content is proven to generate 8x more engagement than brand-generated content. 📢Reach:Employees collectively have a much wider network, amplifying the brand's message across diverse audiences. Brands that embrace EGC are not just fostering a sense of community and trust but are also positioning themselves as forward-thinking and relatable. Like my favorite, Poppi! 🫧🫶 Here's to empowering our teams and capturing the magic they bring to the table every day! 💡🎥 #EmployeeGeneratedContent #social #socialcontentcreator #iworkhere #BrandEngagement #DigitalMarketing #Authenticity #ContentCreation
Spend the day with our Digital Marketing Intern, Paula! #lifeatgallo

Here’s what they don’t tell you about starting a placement year ❌ Today marks one month as a Marketing Intern at LOOKFANTASTIC.COM Before starting, I was repeatedly told these 3 things: - It’s fast-paced - You’ll be given responsibilities from day 1 - ‘There’s no such thing as a silly question’ While all these things are true, here are some things I wasn’t told before (but have come as a very nice bonus): 💄I’ll attend immersive brand visits from big beauty brands, including Isle of Paradise, Glow Hub and Kylie Cosmetics. 📦 I’ll meet teams across the business from manufacturing to employer branding to understand the wider picture. 📱 I’ll make some fun cameo appearances on LOOKFANTASTIC’s Instagram. 📖 I’ll steadily transform into a walking thesaurus and dictionary (I work on the content team to clarify). 🙋🏼♀️ I’ll become friends with 9 other lovely interns, making the move to Manchester a lot less scary. 🗣️ I’ll be given access to free professional development coaching and L&D workshops. 🎄 I’ll be getting involved in Christmas projects before August even finishes. The point being, you won’t know what to expect until you start your placement. The key is to get stuck in, make the most of opportunities and take each day as it comes. I’m loving my time here so far and can already see the benefits of undertaking a year in industry.

So, you've got yourself a social media intern... Now what? 🤷♀️ Here's what I learned from mentoring and managing interns in this industry: 👩🍳 Let them cook They often come ready with ideas to test and execute. Give them a chance, hear them out, and offer constructive feedback to guide them. With some encouragement, coaching, and careful reviews of their work, you may find you have some social hits on your hand. 🤝 Nurture them The bomb social media managers of today had to start somewhere. Teach them what you know so they can absorb that information, learn for themselves, be encouraged to try things on their own and find confidence in what they do.
