🌍⚡️ How many incredible speakers can we fit into just two summit days? We’re at 150 and counting, but here are three you simply can’t miss: 👉 Romain Diaz from Satgana: Romain Diaz is the General Partner of Satgana, an early-stage Climate Tech VC firm investing in the next wave of planet-positive startups – 18 portfolio companies and growing! A passionate entrepreneur, investor, and pragmatic idealist, Romain is dedicated to harnessing business as a force for good. That’s the essence of Satgana, which fittingly means “good company” in Sanskrit. 👉 Leanne Cullen-Unsworth from Project Seagrass: Driven by a profound understanding of social-ecological systems, Dr. Leanne Cullen-Unsworth is one of the original founders and the current CEO of Project Seagrass. With over 20 years of experience in researching marine resource use patterns and sustainability, Leanne’s passion for seagrass emerged from realizing its direct impact on human wellbeing. An interdisciplinary scientist, she is committed to driving conservation and restoration efforts grounded in robust science. 👉 Andreas Noe from The Trash Traveler: A true climate crusader, Andreas Noe left his biomedical career in 2019 to inspire environmental action through creativity and adventure. In 2020, he walked the entire Portuguese coastline in 58 days to raise awareness about ocean plastic pollution. The following year, he rallied his community to collect a million cigarette butts, proving that small actions can create big change. In 2022, he built a bike from old parts and rode 2,370 km around Portugal, including to the top of Serra Da Estrela – carrying "trash" to promote a circular economy. Over the years, his initiatives have united a community of over 7,000 people. Join this powerful line-up of changemakers who will set the stage alight at the Beato Innovation District on October 2-3. 💡🙌 📩 Get your tickets at https://lnkd.in/e3vg9zsg #EthicalAssembly2024 #ClimateSummit #ImpactInvesting #ClimateTech #MarineResources #Seagrass #OceanPollution #ClimateActivism

Going down the sustainability route for a fashion business (any business to be honest) is both difficult and expensive and the path is even more challenging if you consider that our current system makes it easier to drain resources, neglect negative externalities, overproduce and treat workers poorly. In addition to this, we live in times of VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) with unstable economies, transforming societies and a fast-changing climate. This global situation calls for bold actions, and courage is the foundation of such actions. Every expedition begins with courage. Navigating the modern sustainability debate is like an expedition into unexplored terrain. But courage exists in our small actions as well, such as implementing sustainable practices and sticking with them. Happy to have shared with Temera my stories and my philosophy.
We were honoured to have Alex Bellini as the Special Guest at our Temera event "There's No Sustainability Without Traceability" last week. Alex, a well-known Italian explorer renowned for his extreme feats, shared his experiences to inspire us to push our limits and face challenges with determination and resilience. Alex spoke about the importance of change and uncertainty as sources of strength, emphasizing the need to adapt and grow through difficulties. He also addressed the crucial responsibility of corporate sustainability, advocating for businesses to promote sustainable practices that reduce environmental impact, foster innovation, and create new market opportunities. Finally, he highlighted the importance of sustainable leadership and collaboration between businesses, governments, and communities, encouraging us to see sustainability as a strategic advantage. Thank you, Alex, for inspiring us to see change as a chance for growth and to live a more authentic life. #TemeraEvent24 #Sustainability #Traceability

🌍 Happy Earth Day! To celebrate, I'm offering all my connections a 25% discount on tickets to the upcoming GREENTECH FESTIVAL! (More info in the comments) The GREENTECH FESTIVAL 2024 is shaping up to be our most expansive yet. This year, the festival moves to Messe Berlin and will span four halls with six stages, over 200 speakers, and 200 exhibitors, and we expect around 20,000 visitors. This is a testament to the growing commitment and interest in sustainable technologies and green innovations. As part of our festival, I am especially excited about Start-Up Land, where we will turn the Palais at Messe Berlin into an innovation hub. This area is dedicated to fresh ideas and innovations from the most promising new companies. This aligns closely with the recent launch of Rosberg Ventures and my VC Fund of Fund. Rosberg Ventures bridges the access gap, connecting European family offices with the world's best VC funds to gain a diversified position on the most promising start-ups globally. Start-ups are the SMEs of tomorrow—and we invest in the 2,000 best in the world. Another awesome opportunity at the GREENTECH FESTIVAL is the Green Investors Crunch. Finding the right partner for your next big opportunity can be challenging with the sustainability funding market becoming specialised. But GTF has made shopping easy by bringing the right people to the table so that you can confidently take your next step. Why do you think initiatives like GTF are crucial for our planet's future? Let's discuss how we can all contribute to a more sustainable tomorrow in the comments below... #GreentechFestival #Sustainability #Innovation #EarthDay #RosbergVentures
