We're delighted to support the In2scienceUK In2STEM programme giving young people practical experience in #STEM and #cancerresearch from lab work to public engagement. Thank you Ines Prata Machado for your commitment to being an inspiring research mentor.
For the last three years, I have been a research mentor for the In2scienceUK programme. The purpose of In2scienceUK is to provide young students with practical insights into #STEM fields at the start of their career journey, helping them become the next generation of researchers and scientists. In the last two weeks, four students from the programme had the opportunity to learn more about what we do in #Cambridge to help treat cancer patients. I would like to thank the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre, The Mark Foundation for Integrated Cancer Medicine, and the University of Cambridge for helping the students get the most out of this summer placement. Special thanks to Ellie Wolmark, Charles Thomson, Catarina Pelicano, Thomas Yip, Chris Lehane, Tony Davidge, Erica Nathan, Rebecca Wray, Rhys Grant and the Halim, Caroll, Crispin, and Markowetz labs for getting involved.
