Business IT and Cyber Security Provider | Founder | Inc 5000 | Business Mentor | Allow us to earn your business | Facilitator of Humility
Entrepreneurship Isn't a Solo Journey Running your business can feel lonely, but remember, you're not alone. Today, I had a heart-to-heart chat with a friend in the IT industry. We discussed the challenges of starting a company and pushing forward each day. It is not easy, and it's not for the weak. What makes it difficult is it does get lonely when you don't have someone to explain what you're going through or someone who understands you the challenges your going through. What I've learned is connecting with your peers is critical. I've learned so much from conversations with friends, vendors, and people like Melanie Rae. It's these connections that keep us going. Just a reminder to all entrepreneurs out there: don't be afraid to reach out and talk to others in your field. It really helps. #teamspn

Women’s month is a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate women in our lives. But we could do so much more… the real conversations need to start in our own homes and our workplaces. In what ways are we daily advocating for women? In what ways are making room for them to be heard and celebrated? In what ways do we intentionally set women up for wins? Women should not have to wait for August to feel celebrated. Our campaigns and events about protecting, standing up for and standing with women should not be a facade to please or impress the crowd, this should be a genuine desire to see women win at home and at the workplace. Women are role models, prayer warriors, and leaders to many people in their communities and circles. Personally, women have had the greatest impact on my life— their resilience to keep dreaming even though the odds are against them, the tenacity to keep going when it could be easy to quit, the audacity to serve even when not appreciated, the miracle of carrying life and raising children, the power to love, to work, and to enjoy life. The drive to honor and vouch for women should not stop when the month of August ends. It should be an ongoing pursuit… 💛

Toxic relationships can be an opportunity to identify the limiting beliefs holding you back in love. It is during difficult times that one experience growth and learn to understand the pain of others. There are some limiting beliefs in your subconscious mind that led you to accept that relationship. Indentify them, replace them for more empowering ones. This is critical because your life is ran by your subconscious mind without you even know it. So, as long as you have those limiting beliefs nothing will change. Ask yourself why did I got involved with that person? Keep asking why untill you get to the root of the problem and change that limiting belief. If you are still in an abusive relationship, start cultivating your spirituality because that will give you the strength to leave. Practice Buddhism, do Deepak Chopra 21 day meditation series, read spiritual books, etc. And just as important, heal your heart ❤️ to become whole again and change the pattern of what you are attracting in life. If you start dating when you are broken hearted, you will keep attracting people that will break your heart again and again. If you are a mother, you have to do everything in your power to protect your children and lead by example. One great way to encourage a woman to leave an Abusive relationship is to expose her to healthy romantic relationships in real life or in movies, without shaming her. On the contrary, allowing her to have her own epiphany. #success, #empowerment,#inspiration,#motivation,#leadership, #abusiverelationships,#love,#womenempowerment

Founder + Strategy Principal at The Hush Collaborative | I use strategy and storytelling to provoke and accelerate change.
Our goals as a business are simple, and we apply organizing principles to achieve them. 1. Make sure your strategy (the words) drives action. 2. Make sure your operations (the workflows) make those actions easier. 3. Make sure your workforce (the community) is organized to achieve together. So when Erin Gallagher said she and her team needed support - we jumped at the chance to organize a group of people around an action, drive that action, and make it easier for more to join in. The Hush Collaborative refuses to follow the business-as-usual line that political neutrality is the default policy. Simply by existing, we are political. We support and will continue to support Hype Women and #hypewomenforharris because we deeply believe in women's collective power to create change within and outside systems. We believe in the power of HYPE and storytelling to bring us together, connect us, and propel us all forward. We share values, including being #honestforgood, telling it like it is, and centering truth over comfort. But most of all, we are biased towards action, in our business and in our personal lives. Doing something – anything is the fastest way to learn, grow, and create more action. If you haven't heard, Hype Women will continue the momentum of this incredible kick-off call with SEVEN MORE! Follow us. Join us. Take action.
With their kickoff call, Hype Women for Harris is bringing together powerful women for Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz—together, we’re making waves. We had a blast collaborating with the HW4H Core team—Erin Gallagher, Alexis Voss, Jennifer Cho, and The Hush Collaborative.

It was a fantastic start to International Women’s Day to be a panelist at this year’s women’s brunch presented by The Landscape Association We discussed how we can elevate the position of women in the industry. Key takeaways: 1. More Visibility of women in industry across all areas from CEO level to apprentices. Seeing these women in marketing and on social media will normalise their position in the industry and help shift the ‘boys club’ culture. 2. Cultural change that begins at the top. Leadership and management need to be firm in establishing a culture of safety, acceptance and development for everyone particularly in the trades. Small things like shifting language from gendered terms eg “you…like a girl” goes a long way to make women feel comfortable working in male dominated environments. 3. Collaboration across industry is needed to open up more opportunities and attract more women into roles that have scope well beyond entry level. This will increase financial security and independence for women and lead to improved career satisfaction and growth.
Attending for the third year in a row, ODS was pleased to be present at the The Landscape Association's Women in Landscaping brunch yesterday to celebrate the achievements of women to the landscape industry.

Last week, we had the pleasure of presenting to Cedar Valley Women Connect on creating, achieving, and maintaining balance in our lives. If this is something you struggle with, we invite you to do this exercise: Make a list of your values. (These values are the guiding principles with which we strive to live our lives.) Then, after you list out your values, reflect back on the last week. Where have you said yes to something outside of your values? Being aware of our "yes's" and if they are in alignment with our values or not will give us a clearer picture of where we could be out of balance. The question then becomes - Why am I saying yes to something that doesn't align with my values? And that is where we can grow and learn a lot as leaders and as important members of our families to create a better trajectory forward. - Nick Kuhle & Kayla Becker
Grateful to have been given the opportunity to host our local chapter of Women Lead Change, Cedar Valley Women Connect, this morning. Attendees were joined by Kyla & Nick from Greener Shepherd who presented on creating, achieving, and maintaining balance in our lives, which is a lesson we can all benefit from!
