Happy earth day! 🌍🎉 On this occasion, we'd like to introduce you to one of our long-term projects that just started called RYCA or Responsive Youth For Climate Action. RYCA addresses the pressing need for sustainable development amidst environmental degradation driven by rapid industrialization, in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Recognizing youth as catalysts for change, RYCA aims to integrate sustainable practices into societal norms through education and awareness-raising. The project empowers youth to take action and promote eco-friendly behaviors in their communities through experiential learning and non-formal education initiatives. By equipping youth workers with innovative strategies and tools, RYCA fosters a culture of responsible resource use and environmental stewardship. Aligned with EU environmental policies, RYCA emphasizes the prudent utilization of natural resources and combats climate change on a global scale. Ultimately, RYCA seeks to create a more sustainable and resilient future by engaging youth as agents of positive change. 🌱🌟

🌱🌏 📣 Unveiling a Path to Greening Communities through Education! In addition to supporting Greening Schools as part of UNESCO's Greening Education Partnership, the Foundation for Environmental Education is also on a mission to engage communities in the fight against climate change by integrating climate education into life-long learning. Our focus extends beyond traditional classrooms, reaching into community learning centres and learning cities to foster a culture of environmental responsibility and action. But how is FEE contributing to this goal? Through the Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) programme, we're empowering young people to become catalysts for environmental change. These YRE leaders delve into local environmental challenges, using various media forms like articles, videos, and photographs to raise awareness and inspire action within their communities. Their work goes beyond mere reporting; it's about sparking a movement. By bringing environmental issues to the forefront, YRE is playing a pivotal role in inspiring communities to take concrete steps towards combating climate change, thus strengthening community resilience. Learn more in the brochure or check our website here: https://lnkd.in/egUkj_HR #GreeningCommunities #ClimateEducation #YRE #CommunityResilience #EnvironmentalAwareness #SustainableFuture
