What do spies, recruiters and Santa Claus have in common? 🕵️♀️🎅 While spies, recruiters, and Santa Claus may seem like an unlikely trio, they do share some interesting commonalities: 🔎 Information gathering: Spies, recruiters and Santa all excel in collecting and analyzing information. Spies gather intelligence, while recruiters gather data on potential candidates and Santa compiles lists of children's behaviors. 👀 Surveillance Skills: Spies excel in covert surveillance, recruiters assess candidates' online presence, and Santa is said to "see you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake," suggesting a certain level of surveillance. 📃 Making Lists: Spies maintain lists of key targets, recruiters create lists of potential hires, and Santa has his famous naughty and nice lists, organizing information for their respective purposes. ✔ Judgment and Assessment: Spies assess the trustworthiness of intelligence, recruiters evaluate the qualifications of candidates, and Santa judges whether children have been good or naughty throughout the year. Just call me... Santa Bond. #recruiterlife #imhiring #happyholidays

As a recruiter based in Hertfordshire, I recognise the importance of building positive relationships with children in residential care right from the start. 🌟 Starting a new role in this field can be both rewarding and challenging. Here are some techniques for new staff members to establish meaningful connections with these young individuals: 1. **Active Listening**: Take the time to listen attentively to what the children have to say. Show genuine interest in their thoughts and feelings. 2. **Empathy**: Put yourself in their shoes to better understand their experiences and emotions. Empathy goes a long way in building trust. 3. **Consistency**: Be consistent in your interactions and follow through on any promises made. This helps create a sense of security and reliability. 4. **Positive Reinforcement**: Acknowledge and praise their achievements, no matter how small. Positive reinforcement boosts self-esteem and encourages positive behaviour. 5. **Respect**: Treat the children with respect and dignity. Respect their boundaries and opinions to foster a sense of autonomy. Starting off on the right foot with these techniques not only benefits the children but also enriches your own experience in this rewarding field. 💼🌟 #BuildingRelationships #ResidentialCare #PositiveImpact
