Focus on assets rather than needs. As communities become circles of support for youth, the community becomes stronger and the youth has the help they need for creating the life they truly want🌟 https://lnkd.in/giwB4U2m

Does our attitude need to change around the provision of public services. We have all grown up with not having to worry about the following: 1) Education 2) health care 3) Benefits systems including state pension 4) Care of the elderly However with spiralling government debt and a sluggish economy, governments are flirting with ideas of austerity measures. My opinion is community leaders should start to have serious conversations about this and how we can tackle this as a community in the future. Social Enterprises, NGOs, religious organisations,entrepreneurs and business leaders could play a key role here in developing services and outreach programs that target community needs. This is just me thinking out loud. Am I being pessimistic about government continued or are these areas we need to seriously talk about. Let me know your thoughts
