The news is three, new €63.4mn assignments to #SomecNavale by three customers, involving seven new-build #cruise liners, starting in 3rdQ/24 and continuing to 2029. Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.-owned Regent Seven Seas Cruises assigned #SomecGroup specialists in naval architecture and marine glazing two newbuild #projects.  Another #NorwegianCruiseLineHolding-owned operator, Oceania Cruises assigned Somec Navale project works involving four new cruise liners, two of which are optional. A leading #German shipyard assigned new works to Somec involving a #newbuild, The Walt Disney Company-owned Disney Cruise Line's vessel.   The naval mechanic and passenger ship building business hinges on a 3-way supply model, with yards and cruise #operators assigning works to many specialist suppliers.  Somec Navale built its name on #marineglazing and successfully evolved into naval architecture, with innovative proprietary design solutions. How did shipyards perform in 2023? 📈 Here are some key highlights extracted from SuperYacht Times' latest SYT iQ Insights article - A 20% growth in deliveries of 30-meter-plus yachts from 2022 to 2023. - Ferretti Group leads in the number of units delivered (36 yachts), closely followed by Azimut|Benetti Group and Sanlorenzo Yachts UK. - Although Lürssen delivered only two units, the yard led in terms of total GT with 16,009 GT - Looking at the total metres delivered, data shows that the Ferretti Group led in 2023 with 1,249 metres, followed by Azimut-Benetti and Sanlorenzo - Looking ahead to 2024, preliminary data from the forthcoming market report, the State of Yachting 2024, anticipates approximately 205 deliveries (compared to 201 in 2023) in the 30-metre-plus category. The first piece of infrastructure that was created in the Vairano Centre has been integrated with two bends (the North Bend and the South Bend) that were created to enable vehicles to easily change their direction of travel.
