⛴🚂THE IMPORTANT ROLE OF LOGISTICS IN VIETNAM'S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT🚂⛴ #logistics is an indispensable part of the process of distributing goods from the place of production to consumers, acting as a bridge for global trade. Today, logistics activities do not stop at warehousing and transportation but also include complex tasks such as planning, arranging the flow of raw materials from suppliers to manufacturers, then transferring goods from production to final consumers. This process requires optimization to reduce transportation and storage costs. 💥 #logistics service is also a commercial activity, in which traders perform many tasks such as receiving goods, transporting, storing, customs clearance, customer consulting, packaging, and many other related services for remuneration. Good logistics implementation not only ensures better service and lower costs but also brings high efficiency to businesses and the economy. 🔥🔥Current Situation and Challenges of Vietnam's Logistics Industry With a market size of 20-22 billion USD/year, accounting for 20.9% of GDP, the logistics service industry is playing an important role in the integration and economic development process in Vietnam. Currently, the country has about 1,200 enterprises providing logistics services, mainly concentrated in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi with more than 1.5 million employees. However, except for state-owned enterprises that are being equitized, most of these enterprises are small and medium-sized, with an average charter capital of 4-6 billion VND, and human resources that only meet about 40% of the industry's needs. The proportion of human resources trained in logistics is very low, only 5-7%. 🌟🌟Opportunities and Solutions for Logistics Industry Development Despite facing many challenges such as poor infrastructure, high logistics costs, and a shortage of quality human resources, Vietnam's logistics industry still has great opportunities. International integration and opening of the logistics market according to the WTO commitment roadmap from January 11, 2014 have opened up many development opportunities. Vietnamese logistics enterprises need to take advantage of local advantages, strengthen cooperation and linkages, invest in technology and human resource training to improve competitiveness. >Send goods to China by post: https://lnkd.in/gGgwt2dM >Cheap express delivery to China: https://lnkd.in/gD_xf7xs >Process of shipping goods from China to Vietnam: https://lnkd.in/g3mx4XUv >Safe and economical express delivery to China: https://lnkd.in/dDHv6NGy

The recently concluded 4th Global Logistics Convention, held in Nairobi, served as a critical platform for discussions about optimizing opportunities within the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) to address inefficiencies in the continent's supply chain. The convention focused on strategic approaches, emphasizing the importance of positioning transport and logistics to capitalize on the transformative potential of AfCFTA logistics and technology. The anticipated increase in intra-African trade as a result of the AfCFTA, will have a significant impact on the transportation and logistics landscape. The establishment of free movement of cargo is an essential component of this transformation, symbolizing Africa's collective effort to unite as one cohesive unit in fostering economic collaboration. However, while AfCFTA opens up an array of opportunities, it also introduces challenges that require proactive resolution in order to fully realize its potential impact on the continent. As trade volumes increase, the need for efficient and dependable logistics solutions becomes more apparent. Lori remains unwavering in our commitment to revolutionizing logistics within the framework of the AfCFTA. Using tried-and-true methods such as efficient route optimization and increased truck utilization. A typical shipment job usually requires transporting cargo to a destination, often resulting in transporters making an empty return trip. This practice leads to higher transportation fees, as the initial trip has to cover the expenses of the return journey. In an Africa with increased trade under AfCFTA, there would be higher demand for cargo movement in both directions where Lori's solution is to efficiently pair front-haul and back-haul jobs, reducing the need for empty return trips. This is in line with Lori's larger mission to lower the cost of goods in Africa, thus playing a role in achieving AfCFTA's broader economic goals.

Lao PDR Snapshot Laos’ major logistics service operator, Vientiane Logistics Park, is showcasing at an international expo the opportunities Laos is offering as the landlocked country rapidly becomes an integral land link in the global and regional supply chain. Vice President of Vientiane Logistics Park Co., the developer of the Thanaleng Dry Port, Viengkhone Sitthixay, is leading company executives attending the 8th ChinaSouth Asia Expo, which kicked off in Kunming, China, on Tuesday. The six-day event, which has attracted over 2,000 exhibitors, provides a golden opportunity for Lao businesses to explore opportunities and partners. As the pan-Asia rail network takes shape, Mr Viengkhone and his team from PTL Holding, the parent company of Vientiane Logistics Park Co., are using the event to inform investors from across the region how logistics services through Laos offer more costeffective transport routes. Since the Laos-China Railway, which converges with the Laos-Thailand railway at the Thanaleng Dry Port, came into operation in December 2021, importers and exporters have enjoyed significant logistics cost cuts. Speedy freight transport by trains from Thailand to China cut costs by 30 percent compared to road transport, according to Thailand’s Kaocharoen Train Transport Co., Ltd. Given this cost advantage, the railway has become an important trade gateway between Southeast Asia and China with more and more countries in the region grabbing the opportunities offered by the trade route. Recently, ASEAN Express - a cargo train system linking Malaysia to Thailand, Laos and Chongqing, China - completed its first round trip, taking just nine days (one-way) in total against the 14 to 21 days it takes by sea. It was reported that the rail route can cut costs by about 20 percent, thus strengthening regional trade links in ASEAN. Through the ChinaEurope rail network, freight dispatched from Southeast Asia can reach Europe in 14-21 days as opposed to 45 days by sea. With improved connectivity and competitive access to global and regional supply chains, investors are seizing the opportunity and pouring more investment into Laos, hoping to use the country as a production base for exports. Vientiane Logistics Park Co. is a case in point, investing US$547 million to develop a world-class logistics park that includes an export processing zone, logistics park, free trade zone, technology and halal hub. Shortly after the opening of the expo, the exhibition booths set up by Vientiane Logistics Park Co. welcomed a visit by Laos’ Deputy Prime Minister Prof. Dr Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune, the Vice-Chairman of the National People’s Congress of China, Ding Zhongli, and leaders from other countries taking part in the event. Mr Viengkhone briefed the delegations about the operation of the Vientiane Logistics park and Thanaleng Dry Port, Laos’ integrated logistics centre. Source: Vientiane Times

🌐🚚 "The Role of Indonesia in the Logistics System of Southeast Asia" 🌍🇮🇩 Indonesia, with its vast archipelago comprising over 17,000 islands, plays a pivotal role in the logistics system of Southeast Asia. Its strategic location, abundant natural resources, and growing economy make it a crucial hub for trade and transportation in the region. One of the key factors contributing to Indonesia's importance in the logistics landscape is its extensive coastline, stretching over 54,000 kilometers. This coastline is home to numerous ports, including the Port of Tanjung Priok in Jakarta, which is one of the busiest ports in Southeast Asia. Handling over 7 million TEUs of cargo annually, Tanjung Priok serves as a vital gateway for goods entering and exiting the country. Moreover, Indonesia's strategic position along major maritime routes, such as the Malacca Strait, further enhances its significance as a logistics hub. The Malacca Strait is one of the busiest waterways in the world, connecting the Indian Ocean to the South China Sea. It serves as a crucial artery for international trade, with a significant portion of global shipping passing through its waters. In addition to its maritime infrastructure, Indonesia boasts a well-developed network of airports and roadways. Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, for instance, is one of the busiest airports in Southeast Asia, handling millions of passengers and cargo shipments each year. Furthermore, the country's extensive road network facilitates the movement of goods across its vast territory, connecting major cities and economic centers. Indonesia's role in the logistics system of Southeast Asia is further underscored by its status as a member of key regional organizations, such as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). As part of ASEAN, Indonesia collaborates with neighboring countries to enhance regional connectivity, streamline customs procedures, and promote trade facilitation initiatives. Looking ahead, Indonesia continues to invest in infrastructure development to further strengthen its position as a logistics hub in the region. Projects such as the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway and the Kalibaru Port expansion project aim to improve connectivity and enhance logistical efficiency, driving economic growth and prosperity for the nation. In conclusion, Indonesia's geographical location, maritime infrastructure, and collaborative efforts within regional organizations make it a vital player in the logistics system of Southeast Asia. As the country continues to invest in infrastructure and embrace technological advancements, it is poised to play an even greater role in shaping the future of regional trade and transportation. #Logistics #Indonesia #SoutheastAsia #Trade #Infrastructure
