Companies in Japan that are receptive to candidates' (and existing employee's) views on career progression, work culture and benefits will have better chances to engage with hard to reach candidates (and retain existing ones). This article is an interesting reflection on the current mindset according to their data and opinion. If your company is developing policies and implementing changes that reflect positive change to employee benefits, you should be incorporating these into your employer branding strategy. Comparing my work experiences in Iran and The Netherlands, one major difference stands out: the level of freedom employees have. At KPN I have the flexibility to choose my work location, which keeps me energized and productive. For instance, feeling a bit down today, I opted to work from a café and it worked wonders. It's important to consider the broader context when making such comparisons. In Iran, people face numerous challenges, including unreliable internet connections, which makes #remotework less feasible. #Offices often have better internet, making them a more practical option. Additionally, the culture of control is more prevalent in Iran, influenced by a top-down approach from the government through all organizational structures. While I can't generalize this to all companies in Iran and The Netherlands, my years of experience in Iran showed me that Iranian companies tend to prefer more control over #employees. How is your experience working in Iran, The Netherlands, or any other countries, especially in terms of the level of control and freedom you have as an employee?
