Grab your ticket here: https://lnkd.in/geZ4s4x7 5 tips on how to get the most out of networking events: 1. Remember that networking events are usually awkward for everyone, so there is no reason to be shy. 2. To reduce anxiety, come prepared: define a clear goal of what you want to achieve by expanding your network. Is it a new role or finding partners for your next big gig? 3. Also have a few questions in mind to kick start and facilitate the conversation. Something like "What's your superpower?" or "What work excites you the most these days?" can break the ice. Asking "What brought you to this event?" can help to transition to the real deal and start exploring how you can be helpful to each other. 4. Not everyone asks follow-up questions like "what about you?" in a conversation. This doesn't necessarily mean they're not interested, but rather may be due to their own anxiety. If you find yourself talking to this type of person, try to proactively share something about yourself, otherwise your conversation will turn into you interviewing another person and you'll never find out how you can help each other. 5. Don’t forget to close the conversation by asking how you can connect outside of the event. You'll be surprised how many people forget to do this. Good luck!
