After 12 years and $34 billion, the Trans Mountain expansion project is nearing the finish line. It's Canada's only #oil #pipeline to the West Coast. The project will transport oil from Alberta to the West Coast and triple the amount of crude that is shipped on an existing pipeline, from 300,000 barrels per day to 890,000 bpd. Canadian oil #prices are expected to increase once the new project is completed. #building #buildings #construction #steel #mining #exploration #prospecting #mines #energy #oilsands Mining Association of Canada Mining Association of BC Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) BC Regional Mining Alliance CIM | Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) Canadian Energy Executive Association Saskatchewan Mining Association AME - Association for Mineral Exploration Canadian Fuels Association - Association canadienne des carburants Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA) Canadian Gas Association Canadian Heavy Oil Association Enbridge Gregory Ebel

Landowners have to be a part of that negotiation. That's the agreement that matters the most, not the MOA. MOA is a non compliance agreement. PNG Landowners wake up from your deep sleep. Wafi Landowners will miss out again, big time. MOAs are MRA's weaknesses, designed to get the projects over the line. Promises of benefits in MOA for Landowners actually do not happen.... the writing is on the wall, go to all the mining projects & you will see the same things happening over & over again & again...We have lost the plot.. let's get together & stop this nonsense or else the ripping off our resources will continue & eventually turn into rape.

That is 100% correct.. BUT never relinquish responsibility. SAFETY is everyone's responsibility and in the end the worker is the last decision maker. It's a choice!! If you are faced with an unsafe situation, you decide..right?? You have a choice to say no. It's not worth risking your life to get a job done. You get replaced at work but you will never be replaced at home..so choose wisely. Complacency Kills ...STOP. SPEAK UP. The US Bureau of Land Management has issued a Record of Decision approving Nevada Gold Mines’ plan of operations for its new Goldrush underground mine at the Cortez Complex near Beowawe, Nevada. The long-life mine is expected to start ramping up production in 2024 after the commissioning of the initial project infrastructure and is forecast to produce 130,000 ounces in 2024 and grow to approximately 400,000 ounces per annum by 2028 (100% basis).

In my latest blog, I argue that WA is streets ahead of NZ in respect of many economic, environmental and social indicators partly thanks to its reliance on the massive revenue generated by the energy and minerals sector. Revenue New Zealand could also generate if it reverses its blind ideological opposition to any activity that contains the word mining in it. https://lnkd.in/gFpwdaMf

The federal government is contributing up to $75 million, with an additional $120 million provided by B.C.'s Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure to upgrade Highways 37, 37A, and 51, covering approximately 800 km. They'll probably need buildings too! We can build those: https://lnkd.in/gJuEHRQe. Other planned improvements include widening shoulders, creating pullouts for slow-moving vehicles, establishing chain-up/chain-off areas, and enhancing WiFi access along these routes. #criticalminerals #building #buildings #construction #steel #mining #exploration #prospecting #ores #mines #minerals #energy Mining Association of Canada Mining Association of BC Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) BC Regional Mining Alliance CIM | Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) Canadian Energy Executive Association AME - Association for Mineral Exploration Canadian Fuels Association - Association canadienne des carburants Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters Canadian Gas Association NWT & NU Chamber of Mines Canadian Mineral Processors CMP BC/YK Explorers and Producers Association of Canada (EPAC) Canadian Heavy Oil Association Trade & Invest British Columbia Business Council of British Columbia Greater Vancouver Board of Trade

To mine multi use mineral in hilly terrain from a lease of private land is always a tough task.It is very tough task to make proper understanding and business relations with the local landowners.Since in hilly terrain ,mining leases contains so many small -small plots which belongs to different -different land owners .so it is very tough to amalgamate all that.Slop stability is always a tough task.Although inspite all the odds, mining of very sophisticated and multiuse minerals like steatite/soap stone in hilly terrain with proper quality and desired quantities with proper safety is always a tough but energising task .Mining in this type of areas with the balance of environmental protection with proper CSR etc is always a challenging but rewarding task. Thanks almighty for providing this type of energy within me. Sales Manager at China Coal Technology and Engineering Group Corporation/ English<>Chinese Interpreter
Gob-side entry retaining is a key technology for pillarless #mining. It eliminates the need for pannel #coal pillars, increases coal recovery rates, reduces #tunneling requirements, improves #ventilation, and helps address #gas issues in the upper corners. However, it also faces challenges such as slow retaining speed, high costs, and significant roadway maintenance work. The team led by Academician Kang Hongpu from China Coal Technology & Engineering Group (#CCTEG) has developed the "Support and Pressure Relief Combination - Pumped Concrete Pillar" gob-side entry retaining technology, which holds completely independent intellectual property rights. This technology effectively tackles these challenges by integrating support and pressure relief. It uses pillars instead of walls, allowing parallel operations of support and pressure relief. The technology includes long-distance roof support with gangue-blocking #shields, high-resistance timely support with unit frames, continuous pumping integrated construction techniques, special #concrete that is fast-setting, early-strength, and easy to pump, and a wireless #mine pressure system for real-time #monitoring. This suite of technologies, equipment, techniques, and materials work together to ensure the safe and rapid advancement of the working face. The "Support and Pressure Relief Combination - Pumped Concrete Pillar" gob-side entry retaining technology has been successfully applied in many #mining areas in China, achieving significant economic benefits.

Who pays to clean up an old mine? The Inactive Mine Reclamation Program (IMRP) reclaims, safeguards, and restores lands impacted by past mining; specifically coal mines abandoned prior to August 3, 1977 (under the Surface Mining and Control Reclamation Act, or SMCRA), as well as hard rock and uranium mines in partnership with other state and Federal agencies. The IMRP is funded through Department of the Interior by reclamation fees paid by current coal mine operations on each ton of coal mined in Colorado. DRMS receives, on average, $3 million each year in "fee based" funding for safeguarding and program operations, in addition to approximately $10 million for coal related reclamation from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. There is no other program to address past mining hazards, and minimal funding is available for environmental projects. In all, the IMRP spent approximately $6.2 million in Fiscal Year 2023 on all reclamation investigations, designs, and safeguarding work. In addition to coal mine reclamation, the DRMS leverages their expertise in reclamation in non-coal projects with local, other state, and Federal organizations. Those projects are funded through a combination of grants, cost-sharing agreements, and other legislation.
