#HappyNewYear2025 Our new blog is out! In the world of charity fundraising, success rarely happens by accident. The most impactful campaigns are crafted with an understanding of their audience, a clear sense of purpose, and most importantly, excellent use of data. Charities that lead the way in fundraising have mastered the art of combining emotional storytelling with donor insight, turning one-off contributors into long-term supporters. But what makes certain segments of the charity sector consistently better at this than others? We shine a light on Cancer Research UK (CRUK) incredible #rightnow campaign and the specialists who ran an incredible example of super star fundraising. Hope you enjoy. #CharityFundraising #DataDrivenFundraising #NonProfitSuccess #FundraisingStrategy #DonorInsights #CharityLeadership #StorytellingForImpact #EmotionalFundraising #DataForGood #CleanDataMatters #DonorEngagement #CharityInnovation #FundraisingExcellence #DataOptimisation #LongTermSupporters

🌟 How can your charity benefit from an audience-first approach? It's only two weeks until Samantha Devlin joins us from Cancer Research UK who will be presenting an insightful case study on how CRUK has transformed their fundraising by placing supporters at the heart of their strategy. Their audience-centric approach is all about truly understanding what drives people to engage and building lasting relationships based on their needs and preferences. This strategy has been pivotal to CRUK’s success, and I’m looking forward to exploring how we can apply these insights in Australia! During the session, we’ll draw on data insights from our Supporter View tool and workshop how Australian charities can adopt this audience-first approach to better understand and engage supporters. If you're looking to deepen supporter relationships and drive sustainable growth, this workshop is not to be missed. Full details and registration here: https://lnkd.in/gpzYQY9Q Let’s unlock the power of audience-centric fundraising together! #SupporterFirst #FundraisingStrategy #NonProfitGrowth See you soon.

Does your workplace support charities? Could you put Make 2nds Count forward to be supported? We are fortunate to be supported by a number of fantastic fundraisers and local companies who want to make a difference to those that are living with secondary (metastatic) breast cancer in their community. There are lots of ways your workplace can help us too. Whether that's through a charity of the year partnership, event fundraising, payroll giving, corporate donations or sponsorship. We'd love to chat to companies that would like to consider Make 2nds Count as their next charity endeavour: hello@make2ndscount.co.uk #charitypartner #charitypartnership #corporatepartnership #corporategiving #corporatesponsor

There are just 13 weeks to go until several members of the Hensall team will put on their walking boots and tackle the 24-mile Y3P challenge in under 12 hours in a bid to raise £250,000 for Cancer Research UK. Of course, 24 miles is a challenging task. With a lot of help from Francesca Nicholas RNutr PH BDA SCMA at Nutripath LTD, we’re getting stuck into the first month of our exercise plan. For the first month, we’ve got three areas of focus: 🔴 Building our basic cardio fitness 🔴 Getting used to being in the hills and trekking across rocky ground 🔴 Resistance training Our goal is to build up our endurance so that we can run 10km non-stop, at 10-minute miles, before the event. Our aim is to improve our endurance so that we can run 10km non-stop at a pace of 10 minutes per mile before the event. For those of us new to running, we're starting with 3×1 mile routes, using a walk-run-walk method until we can run 1 mile continuously. Then, we will gradually increase the distance by 20% and adjust our training regimen accordingly. If anyone in our network has taken part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, we'd greatly appreciate any advice or tips! #charity #y3p #publicsectorchallenge
The countdown is on! Inspired by National Walking Month and fuelled by personal causes, in just 108 days, we’ll be taking part in the public sector Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge (Y3P). On September 6th, a team of our staff will brave the 24-mile route in under 12 hours in a bid to collectively raise £250,000 for Cancer Research UK. If you’re not familiar with it, Y3P takes you over 1585m of ascent across the Pennine range. We’ll be tackling the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. With a brisk 6am start in the Dales, it’s not a challenge for the faint-hearted, but we’re keen and ready nonetheless. Who else is joining the Public Sector Challenge? #charity #y3p #publicsectorchallenge
