Director of Overlay Technical Architecture | Certified Passive House Designer | Architectural Technologist
Thanks to the support of GT3 Architects, I have achieved my certification as a Passive House Designer. Passive House, for those who are not familiar with it, comprises a series of design principles developed by the PHI (Passive House Institute), utilising cutting-edge knowledge of building science to construct buildings that excel in both internal comfort and energy performance. Prior to breaking ground, it is possible to design, calculate the performance of, and certify a building to a set of rigorous, high-performance standards. This significantly reduces the energy consumption of a building in operation while providing an excellent internal environment. Although there is an initial increase in project costs, the increase in energy prices and the enhanced minimum performance standards set by Building Regulations result in a payback period achieved in a matter of years, not decades. GT3 Architects implements Passive House Principles as a fundamental approach to our projects. Complimented by out consultancy department, we guide clients in balancing building performance with project cost, offering bespoke solutions tailored to a diverse range of needs, leading from a core offering to a Passive House Certified scheme. In the sport and leisure sector, energy costs per square meter of building space are typically higher than in other sectors. This presents a substantial opportunity to achieve operational efficiencies by integrating Passive House Principles. Thanks to MosArt and Tomas O'Leary, MD of MosArt for the delivery of this course and the mission they are on to improve building performance internationally.
Congratulations! 🎉 we wish you a lot of success!
