During one of our visits to Chicago, we came across a profound quote by architect Daniel H. Burnham, engraved at the base of the Willis (Sears) Tower: "Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir men’s blood and probably themselves will not be realized. Make big plans; aim high in hope and work, remembering that a noble, logical diagram once recorded will not die." This statement stirred something within me and really got me thinking about the power of dreaming big. The first step in activating your dreams is to ensure that your plans are grand enough to excite and motivate you. Risk-taking, stretching beyond your comfort zone, and embracing the potential of making mistakes are stepping stones to success. Whether your dream is to travel the world, achieve financial abundance, become a bestselling author, or even start the next global phenomenon, it all begins with setting colossal goals and daring to dream big. Could the new year mean a new business direction? Leaders should take a page from Lighthouse Consulting founder Larry Robertson's neighbors, who assessed their current home and decided to build a new house to better meet their needs when they found it lacking. "In other words, deliberately take time to look at your organization -- not the physical, so much as the operational and the aspirational, and then ask yourselves: Is this how we should be living and doing, or do we need to make some serious adjustments?" Robertson writes Put it into practice: The new year offers leaders the time to reevaluate their plans, business model and processes to refresh stale systems and toss out whatever isn't working, Robertson writes. "It truly is a cost-of-living-where-you-are assessment -- an appraisal of where and how you're living right now and whether or not it's yielding the returns you want and need or costing you."
Is your house in order? It’s the time of year to find out - SmartBrief

Home buying in Central Ohio is very competitive. Home selling in Central Ohio can be intimidating. What helps? I call it: Know the Numbers. Facts. Data. Information. Knowledge is powerful.
Columbus has worked co- operatively for many years to "slowly build" a successful economic platform. It's not an overnight success story, but a multi-decade, incremental success. Business, government (state & local) finding ways to attract; keep; grow companies, industries and people. Transforming the old, rundown, dilapidating infrastructure, housing & forgotten areas and bringing them back to life as vibrant, attractive places(again). Not all at once, but little by little. Domino's but on a city & region basis. Look at actions since the 1970's through now. Think of downtown Columbus in 1970 vs today. Small pockets of good just keep spilling over to neighboring areas. Current leadership is deserving of recognition but Central Ohio should be equally thankful to the past leaders & visionaries who saw greatness and success before Intel or even The Limited or Wendy's. 2020's successes are built on the past. That's a good model for any metro to follow. Years of small successes lead the Columbus/ Central Ohio region to the recent sudden success! Teams win. Great players often don't accomplish much without the help of the team. #crainscleveland #clevelandohio #cbus #614 #columbusohio #columbus #intel #intelohio #ColumbusRegion #columbusalive #columbusbloggers #centralohiorealestate #centralohio #economicdevelopment #franklincounty #lickingcounty #delawarecounty #fairfieldcounty #pickawaycounty #madisoncounty #unioncounty #planning #development
