This week, we had the opportunity to discuss the state of quantum computing with the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy. Our newly funded project, BenchQC, will advance application-level benchmarks for quantum computing. We are excited to contribute our work on QUARK and advance it to the next level with new benchmark kernels. The QUARK framework is open-source, allowing for community contributions and enhancements. Gertraud was joined by, Linus Kohl from Fraunhofer Austria, Christian Hamböck from viesure innovation center GmbH, and Daniel Valtiner of Infineon Technologies Austria, who all provided their significant knowledge and shared their experiences on working with generative AI. In these days, exchanging ideas and information between organisations in friendly countries is more important than ever. After the first half day I already see one theme which is common among us. There is too much talk and not enough do. Questions that will be asked includes because of this, what has been done, what effect did it have, what did one learn? And that not only success stories, but also experiences on what not to do. These will be interesting days, and I urge people interested to follow Kungl. Ingenjörsvetenskapsakademien, IVA here this week to learn a lot. Because if there is something we do in the academy is sharing. Alone is not strong. Only together we will survive.
