What Sarah said :) In all seriousness, this is such a great organization, meeting a very important need in our community. Check out the link below to learn more about what Redwood Park Communities and Furniture Bank are doing, and more importantly, how you can help!
It was truly an honour to meet with Anna from Redwood Park Furniture Bank this morning. Her passion for our community was echoed throughout our conversation in so many different ways with all the amazing initiatives the team has created. They are currently seeing a decrease in furniture donation and an increase in families needing their services, please keep them in mind before you toss that good quality used furniture, they come to you. If you haven’t had a chance to learn more of what they do, take some time to check them out. https://lnkd.in/gnUscFDF #loveyourcommunity #communitymatters #supportlocal RBC #iworkhere

No. No. No. I can't believe I still have to say this, but here goes. When a woman is featured in a post or article about her professional accomplishments, charitable contributions, or other achievements, there will often be a photograph of her. If you want to compliment her, focus on the reason her actions are newsworthy, not: - "Beautiful photo" - "That's a good look" - Etc. #SexDiscrimination #SexualHarassment #WorkplaceDisputeResolution

I work with nonprofit CEOs to create fundraising programs for donors to be partners in serving communities.
The fundraiser's work is often misunderstood. They only receive recognition for the money they raise. We value donors solely for their donations. Fundraisers manage donors' relationships with the organization. Donors want to learn and partner in the mission. What if fundraising focused on both sides of giving? Fundraisers provide opportunities for people to help serve the mission, and people can choose to support that mission. "Giving" means the basic action in both philanthropy and fundraising. The mission is central to both the fundraiser and the philanthropist/donor. To keep fundraisers and donors, we must show our mission's value to the community. Those spending the money need to share information that supports continued commitment to the mission. What action can we take to help people understand that we are all on the same team? Money is not the reason for giving; it is how we solve problems.
