Leadership: The Power of a Strong Team In the realm of leadership, one capability stands above the rest: the ability to build and leverage a strong leadership team. This principle is crucial not only for organizations but also for nations. The Real Focus of Leadership The recent U.S. presidential debate between Trump and Biden has generated significant discussion, yet much of the focus seems misplaced. Instead of dwelling on Biden’s age, the real conversation should revolve around character and the strength of the leadership team each candidate surrounds themselves with. Consider this: Some argue that voting for Biden is essentially voting for Harris. So what? Harris has demonstrated an ability to leverage the team around her in her roles as Attorney General and U.S. Senator. In contrast, Trump’s choice of vice president often appears more about loyalty than capability. As a systemic leadership team coach, I witness firsthand how the right team can drive success. It’s not just about the figurehead; it’s about the collective capability of the team. The US presidency, given its global influence, amplifies this principle tenfold. The Global Impact Why is this important? The decisions made by U.S. leadership resonate globally. The strength, or weakness, of the leadership team can shape policies and impact lives worldwide. Pundits and U.S. voters who have a voice in these discussions should focus on what truly matters: the character of the leaders and their ability to build and empower effective teams. Shifting the Conversation Let’s pivot the conversation to where it belongs. When evaluating leadership, consider the entire team and their collective potential to lead with integrity, vision, and competence. Reflect on this: strong leaders build strong teams. This is the key to sustainable success. Take the Next Step in Leadership As a systemic leadership team coach, I specialize in helping leaders develop and leverage their teams to achieve extraordinary outcomes. Biden, raspy at times, delivered a shaky performance. Trump, meanwhile, ducked some questions and repeated his frequent election denialism. Read takeaways from the CNN presidential debate.

Trump is clear favourite to win the US election Read the analysis I did for Birchstone via the link below. I dive into the outlook for the US election, including how Trump has a much easier path to the White House, and also just how Harris could pull things back. I take a special focus on why this is important for non-US corporations, and also explore the outlook for the dollar under a Harris and a Trump Presidency. The election will be very consequential both domestically and internationally - the Democrats and the Republicans present very different visions of domestic America and its role in the world. https://lnkd.in/evE-vXjH

💙🤍❤️I can't vote in the US, ...but the sheer global power of this country - its being the greatest political, economic and financial power - turns their elections into domestic politics for all citizens of the world. So, I feel I can tell my U. S. friends what we on this side of the pond, think about the Republican primaries. The US, despite all the dark sides that being a super power (be it colonialism, slavery or aggressive trade wars), brings with itself, has in the past 200 years drawn its prosperity to a great degree from upholding 'humanist', 'modernist' or 'western' values - things like secularism, democracy, freedom of speech, thought and religion; individual liberty, citizens' rights, fairness, accessibility of justice FOR ALL, equality of all humans; rule of law, common sense, ideals, but not ideologies; academic and scientific progress, innovations and entreprenial spirit. And most importantly the right to seek a good life or 'the pursuit of happiness'. Being Iranian, I can't help but add (leaning on the historian and Iranist, Prof Holland) that the US is not only the modern and democratic descendent of the Roman Empire and it's idea of FORZA ('I am because I can wield power!'), but also the child of the Persian Zoroasterian idea that an Empire should be a moral entity; that is, where Good can be installed by the super power. In order to do be a force of Good, you need reflection, self-reflection and the ability to look at yourself critically; you need to love yourself and yet be able to examine, criticise, change and make good your mistakes. In one word, to re-invent yourself without losing your 'original' self. Here again, my Iranian self pops up and reminds me of Rumi's tenet that every change or progress is only valuable if it takes you back to your true origins. The United States' ability to use the concept of change and progress as the main tool for upholding the humanist values upon which it founded itself, gave birth (and sustenance) to a culture, or what we call a 'soft power' that has in the past 75 years not been surpassed by any other Super Power - be it in the West or East or South or North. The prosperity of this country comes from that culture. Republicans, too, can modernise and re-invent their party by linking it back to what it was - a broad church where Conservatives and Liberals lived side by side to protect American interests. The US citizens understandably have a different viewpoint than the rest of the world citizens, for whom American elections and politics are domestic politics. The priorities of US citizens are in some points different than ours. I can only say that from where I am looking in Europe, #nikkihaley looks like a viable candidate.

Today Nikki Haley will likely drop out of the race to be the Republican Party flagbearer in the next US election. As she polishes her exit speech, Donald Trump will switch his focus more forcibly to attack the incumbent in the Oval Office and prepare for his official coronation in mid July as his party's presidential nominee. DJT: POTUS 47 loading? Based on current polls, an improbable and pundit-upturning candidate, will reacquaint himself with the White House grounds at the end of 2nd week of January 2025. How is your organization, if at all, understanding and factoring the potential outcomes of the US election and geopolitical developments more generally in its strategic approach and resource allocations?

This is the third in a series of posts where I look at the states that were won by Donald Trump in 2016 but then flipped away from him in 2020. It examines some of the factors that made these states go from red to blue, compares the 2020 presidential contest alongside other recent elections (with some caveats), and discusses what could happen in 2024. The first post looked at Arizona, and the second looked at Georgia. Today looks at Michigan. Michigan's recent presidential election history differs greatly from Arizona and Georgia. While those two states had been mostly Republican, Michigan had been reliably Democratic, voting as such from 1992 to 2012. Can Trump repeat his 2016 feat in the state for 2024? Can recent governor, U.S. Senate, and state legislative elections also give us some clue about 2024? Read on. 🌟 Navigating Truth and Discernment 🌟 Hello everyone, Today, I want to address a topic that has been on my mind – the importance of truth and discernment in our complex world. As we engage with current events, it's crucial to approach information critically and thoughtfully. 🕊️ 🔍 In a landscape where the lines between fact and fiction can blur, let's emphasize the significance of seeking truth above all else. While it's essential to have open discussions about leaders and their actions, let's remember that the office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives is distinct from the Justice system. Let's evaluate claims based on evidence and reliable sources. 🌐 Our democratic process is built on the principle of accountability and checks and balances. No single individual defines our entire justice system. The truth must be upheld above personal biases or political affiliations. Let's encourage open dialogue that fosters understanding rather than divisiveness. 🌈 As we engage in these conversations, let's practice discernment. It's important to separate genuine concerns from misinformation. Let's acknowledge that there can be differing viewpoints, but let's base our discussions on verifiable facts and respectful discourse. 🌟 Our journey towards truth is a collective effort. By valuing authenticity and cultivating an informed perspective, we empower ourselves and our society. Let's unite in our pursuit of clarity and understanding. 🗣️ What are your thoughts on this matter? How do you navigate through a sea of information to arrive at the truth? The Most Qualified Candidates for the 2024 Presidential Election from Both Parties Are Women We need honest and intelligent leadership to lead our communities and businesses in 2025. As President Biden is no longer in the race, I have to ask if it is time for President Trump to bow out as well. Yes, President Trump had a better message of unity during his RNC speech, but again we hear this “stolen election” language from 2020. Most Americans don’t want another January 6th when we had an insurrection that many argue was instigated by President Trump’s rhetoric. President Trump did not live up to his constitutional responsibility of ensuring a smooth transition of power after the 2020 election is my belief. President Trump’s inclinations toward circumventing our constitutional system continues to be a concern by many. No, it is highly unlikely President Trump will bow out, but I continue to argue that we need fresh faces to reduce the divisiveness in our country. I contend that the 2024 presidential election should be an all women race between Vice President Kamala Harris and the former Governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley. Both of these candidates are qualified and could really bring a new vibe to the nation. I do note that I am a moderate Democrat, but I am in lockstep with Nikki Haley on foreign policy. America needs better than both what Presidents Biden and Trump can bring to the table for 2025. It is time to move forward from the past. We need stable, thoughtful leadership to address the many challenges in our homes, schools and places of work to ensure a bright future for all Americans. What if? What if in 2025 we could guarantee the election of our first woman as President of the United States to lead the way? https://lnkd.in/eDfHhAzJ
