A positive step forward to a low-carbon cement industry. The future of a low-carbon cement industry is bright, thanks to innovative engineering technologies. However, an important aspect of this progress is the readiness of the industry to embrace these advances. Clinker reduction and the use of Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCMs), such as calcined clay, are not only feasible, but represent an opportunity for growth and transformation. C/Clay is a process born to support greener alternatives. As part of our GREENKEY SOLUTIONS, this approach goes beyond technical solutions in cement production. It offers the opportunity to empower manufacturers through retraining, optimise supply chains and inspire the market to embrace new, sustainable materials. The local availability of SCMs adds another layer of opportunity, encouraging regions to explore and leverage their unique resources. About C/Clay 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e5VgbcMt The process of decarbonizing the cement industry is a collaborative effort, combining technological innovation with broader industry changes in cement and construction. The world is ready to embrace this positive change in the way we build, bringing new ways to advocate for a sustainable future. #sustainabletechnologies #cementindustry #calcinedclay #innovativeengineering

#Legislation will soon or later control or forbid the use of clean #water for #concrete manufacturing, as this is simply not sustainable (this has already started in California). Companies will have to quickly adapt, which is always costly if unprepared. That is, if they can. Our Bluesea 1 concrete additive and process, now with a more than 50 years track record, allows the use of sea water, sea sands and sea aggregates. World Cement just published an article about it which we invite you to read carefully (see p. 148 onwards). Whereas our other #additives (mainly Bluesea 14 and 60) allow the use of polluted waters, including with a high level of sulphates. Do not hesitate to contact us (contact@blueseaoffice.co.uk) for additional information and acquire a license which offers an array of benefits and will prepare your company for what is to come. https://lnkd.in/eCeUKiMp

All ways the innovation is so important
From clay to cement: C/CLAY GreenKey Solution for SCM Optimization. Operational flexibility is key to managing the complexities of cement production. C/CLAY, part of our GreenKey Solutions, transforms raw clays into robust supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) by employing adaptable technologies such as flash calciners and rotary kilns. These systems are designed to manage varying raw material qualities and process dynamics to ensure optimal SCM activity. The ability to fine-tune process parameters allows for adjustment of reactivity and fineness, which are both important in achieving desired performance characteristics in the final cement product. With a proven portfolio of technologies, each system, carefully designed and engineered, addresses the diverse properties of kaolinitic clays and improves their potential as SCM with precision and efficiency. The versatility of these technologies allows for custom integration to meet the unique needs of each production facility. Whether reviving old kiln lines through strategic modernization or optimizing SCM properties through finish grinding, the solutions go beyond simple adaptation. The combination of calcined clay and limestone in the LC3 mix highlights this potential, where a strategic mix can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 40% and energy consumption by up to 35% compared to conventional cement. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dcMeidhV Dynamis #greenkey #solutions #cclay #calcinedclay #scm #sustainablecement #dynamis #cementindustry

#DCarb White cement's distinctive light colour and high quality achieved from accurate material selection and production processes. Transitioning to sustainable production presents challenges due to major differences in the production process and the need to maintain color purity. While supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) commonly used in grey cement production can reduce the #carbonfootprint, they often compromise the whiteness of #whitecement. Material selection, availability, and quality consistency are crucial in reducing the carbon footprint of white cement production. When facing these challenges, #Cementir utilizes its R&D and production expertise to investigate the entire value chain, collaborating with admixture companies and engaging loyal customers for input. Fast prototyping techniques expedited the launch of the D-Carb® range, marking a continuous effort toward #decarbonization for the #AalborgWhite® range.
