Looking back at the International Day for Persons with Disabilities #IDPD events at the beginning of the month, I was proud to lead them for the fifth time. We illuminated buildings, trained colleagues with events, organised sessions for teams and divisions, all around our approach for #ConfidentConversations   For me, there is a balance. I want to see action more than awareness, but #ConfidentConversations achieved a good balance by giving people the chance to understand disability better and open their eyes to how they can be better allies and colleagues.   We had success. We reached many customers and colleagues, and increased our disability sharing of data by 4.5% so now 2 in 5 colleagues have shared and this continues to grow.   The other area I was happy about is engagement with customers (and front line colleagues). There is more we (all) can do in this space. Hopefully in the future years, we can enhance the dialogue, use #DisabilityInnovation to create market leading products rather than just ensuring accessibility and use the size of LBG to influence society. To me, that would be the ultimate #HelpingBritainProsper Charlie Nunn   But with events (and Employee Resource Groups #ERGs), for me, it is the connections you make with them, the importance of not feeling alone and a chance to talk over shared experiences.
