#Nickel has always been known for its versatility, but in recent years, it has taken on a pivotal role in the global energy transition. The International Energy Agency (IEA) projects a sharp rise in nickel #demand, estimating an increase of approximately 65% by the end of this decade. As of 2023, global nickel #reserves stood at 102.1 million tonnes (Mt), according to a GlobalData Plc report based on US Geological Survey data. #Indonesia and #Australia hold the largest shares of these reserves, each with 20.6% of the global total. #Brazil follows with 15.7%, while #Russia and #NewCaledonia account for 7.3% and 7%, respectively. The #Philippines and #Canada together make up 6.9% of the global reserves.
