How we grew from $1M ARR to $12M ARR in one year 1100% growth, here's the recipe The 3 lessons I learned… At the heart of this is a quote, often told by my father. An Olympian, Brigadier and my mentor. This is from Julius Caesar, by Shakespeare: “There is a tide in the affairs of men, which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and miseries.” This quote kind of became the North Star for us during COVID when all the world was going digital and virtual. That was our tide after being in the event industry for nearly 8 years. Social 27, our event platform had just leveled up after about 12 months of hard work. And this was GTM time for us. Lesson #1: Identify and Catch the big waves Keep a very keen eye on big movements, not just in your lane but the next lanes over. Zoom's rise and the dropping live streaming costs were on our radar. We baked that goodness right into our events platform. Lesson #2: Your team is your treasure My core crew, a rockstar CTO and CRO and their trusted lieutenants, together for over 7 years, were ready to sail through storms. Lesson #3: Speed is your best friend. Our dev team, led by our CTO Bally Kehal, pushed our roadmap into hyperdrive, keeping us ahead for a solid 18+ months. Our sales team, led by the CRO Manpreet Wadan, closed deals like no tomorrow. 2024: AI is the current big wave. Let's all ride this BIG wave and win. It's not a Tsunami. Found this helpful? Comment below and share this with your community. #b2bmarketing #eventprofs #2024trends ……………………………………….. This is episode #1 of my “Ride the Wave” series. 24 episodes coming your way over the next month.

As a founder I normally not sharing personal thoughs on socials but I think this might help other founders as well. Back in 2009 my first start up Khitandigital.nl did Ok and I was quite renowned for my hyperrealistic portraits. After that I worked in bigger corporate studio and exchange money for stability in my life for my first born child. After founding Reblika I found many struggles to survive partially due to the pandemic but mostly due to my inexperience as an entrepreneur. Although from the outside we seem to look successful or create the image of an innovative company. But inside the journey is very painful. Just like Jensen Huang mentioned if I knew what I know today I would never start a company. This is the first post of a series of thoughts about founding my current two companies REBLIKA - The Character Company & Reblium Navigating my way to find the right balance after hearing so many voices. The lesson I learned in this last 5 years is not to forget your inner voice. Stay truthful to your idea and vision and don’t let anything stop you from executing your dream. The reason why I post this is because I feel inspired by this video and i think it’s very on point what I feel about the economy .The talk is presented by Patreon CEO Jack Conte https://lnkd.in/eBFTypx8

At SXSW 2024, Jack Conte, the CEO and co-founder of Patreon, delivered a keynote titled "Death of the Follower & the Future of Creativity on the Web." In his presentation, Conte discussed the significant challenges that current internet algorithms pose to creators, particularly how these algorithms are undermining the traditional concept of a "follower" and, by extension, threatening creators' creative freedom and livelihoods. Conte highlighted the evolution of the internet as a platform that initially democratized creative distribution and allowed creators to reach millions of people. However, the rise of algorithm-focused platforms, such as Facebook's ranking system and TikTok's "for you" curation, has made it increasingly difficult for creators to reach their following and true fans. This shift has had a devastating impact on creators' ability to be creative and support themselves financially through their work. To address these challenges, Conte advocated for new spaces on the internet, like Patreon, where creators can always connect with their communities, create what they want, and control their own destinies. Consider using: Kajabi** - Kajabi is an all-in-one business platform designed for knowledge entrepreneurs, offering tools to create, market, and **sell digital products like online courses, coaching services, membership sites, and podcasts. https://lnkd.in/ea8n7s69 #creativity #internet #algorithm #Patreon
