Food waste in a world where so many people suffer from food insecurity is a signal that our food system is broken. While we are a long way from having zero or minimal food waste, Divert is building a new facility in Washington state to mitigate the negative impacts of US food waste. While this solution is noteworthy, it treats the symptoms of a broken food system and not the causes. Lets join ReFED and Forum for the Future as they look at solving the food waste problem from a systems thinking perspective. #foodwaste #sustainablefoodsystems #systemsthinking #innovation https://lnkd.in/eib56d4v
