“Inclusion is when we’re all respected, expected and reflected.” - Chisom Udeze These words are still in my thoughts from the Pre-Summit Roadshow in Stockholm last week. Once again, Diversify exemplified how to bring honesty and vulnerability to the complex topics of DEI. The event was an incredibly valuable and thought-provoking opportunity to: 💡 Learn and unlearn 🇸🇪 Discuss Sweden-specific challenges 🔀 Connect (and re-connect!) with others It was also an opportunity for Trase - Intelligence for sustainable trade to continue our DEI journey. I often talk about how our DEI work is truly a team effort, responsibility, and priority. Last week was no exception. I was proud to be joined by: Ruby Anne Coquilla Auregård / Financial Controller 💰 👉🏽 The triple bottom line can also be used in nonprofits. We build DEI into all of our systems and structures - including our finances. Elizabeth Wright Veintimilla / Family 🫂 👉🏽 DEI is part of our personal *and* professional lives. Support of (and from!) partners and families is important to our collective well-being. Toby Gardner / Director 🙋🏼♂️ 👉🏽 Leadership sets the tone for DEI within an organization. All of our senior leaders are responsible for DEI - first and foremost our Director. This work is exhausting, it’s uncomfortable, it’s emotional. I never take for granted how lucky I am to work alongside people who are committed to continuous learning and growth on these topics. Thank you to Diversify 💙 for creating this space. Since January 1st, Digiteal has became associate with the Osservatori Digital Innovation in Milan 🇮🇹, an official organism researching E-invoicing in Europe. End of last year, after receiving our incredible E-invoicing Award 🏆 for Belgium (Heliview Conferences & Training), we were asked to join this group of experts from all around Europe. As a fervent supporter of Peppol in Belgium, we believe our voice can be  heard through our positive involvement in this group. Thanks to this membership, and all together, we hope to influence the European e-invoicing directives 🇪🇺 to include a mandatory clear standard for the full Digital Single Market. The kick-off meeting is planned for the January 23rd: let’s see what is going to be said by the best European e-invoicing experts. Two days later, on January 25th 2024, is will be the turn of the Belgian E-invoicing actors 🇧🇪 to meet in the Belgian E-invoicing experts group organized by VBO FEB. 🚀 The future of E-invoicing in Europe is being played out now: in fact, with the present Belgian presidency of the European Union, we have to place our pawns strategically to orient the decision of the Observatory and of the European Commission. We will be helped by the Belgian Financial Ministry that is also rolling out the new e-Invoicing obligations. Discussions concerning ViDa 💶 are underway and we must advocate for Peppol as the unique European standard for E-invoicing in Europe. Visit to Estonia.....Part 2 On this second post on my Estonian visit, I will delve into the 10th e-Governance Conference, which was held under the theme, “Unlocking Digital Success”. This 10th Conference took place in Tartu City, which coincidentally had been selected as one of the European Capitals of Culture in 2024. I took part in a panel discussion on, “Learning from the past, growing today and winning tomorrow”, during which I emphasized on the crucial role of collaboration between public and private sectors in unlocking digital success. Additionally, I underscored the increasing awareness among citizens and highlighted the era of participatory feedback that we currently live in. Here are my key takeaways from the conference: 👩💻 Technology without skills and education is merely hardware. Cultivating proficiency and applying expertise guarantees that digital resources serve their purpose in learning, tackling challenges, and fostering innovation. 📣 Speaker after speaker emphasized the timeless importance of dismantling barriers and data silos. Through enhancing data interoperability and interactivity, we will enable efficient service provision and unlock the pathway to a thriving digital community. 🌍 Effective digital strategies require customization to local environments. Recognizing the distinct requirements of each context ensures that digital innovations are not only applicable but also impactful. "𝑬𝒖𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒆 - 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑰𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 !?" During the Verband deutscher Unternehmerinnen e.V. (VdU)’s General Annual Meeting in Berlin, Almut Bühling and Pamela Stenzel, the two Co-Chairs of the #VdU_IK, engaged with panelists to explore what makes the EU a driver of innovation. Dr HC Marie Christine OGHLY (President Femmes Chefs d'Entreprises Mondiales - FCEM), Katrin Eissler (CEO of Spedition Neuner GmbH & Co. KG GmbH & Co.KG), and Gosia Binczyk (Deputy Head Repr. EU Commission DE) shared their insights on why a strong and innovative Europe is a key factor for sustainable business relationships, as well as for a stable, peaceful and democratic world 🌎. Together they concluded unanimously, that promoting 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 is key, and Europe supports this in multiple ways, because: 1.   We all benefit from the 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬, 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 within the European internal market. 2.   Sharing 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 (not just business-related ones) facilitates strong relationships that in turn create 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. 3.   The EU actively promotes 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞 between the original (Western) member states and the more recently acceded (Eastern) member states. 4.   The EU enhances 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬 that are solution-oriented and based on a hands-on approach.   🔜 We will enforce our regular meetings among female business leaders Femmes Chefs d'Entreprises Mondiales - FCEM to 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬 among female entrepreneurs. From the perspective of our Women in Business Network - WIB outside of Europe, Azza Mahfouz and Astou Dia concluded that in their opinion the key to success is 𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠. Yesterday was a whirlwind of excitement at the London Tech Week. We began the event on a high note, joining forces with other exceptional founders from Latin America and the Caribbean while immersing ourselves in the UK ecosystem. This couldn't have been possible without the support of the Department for Business and Trade, which put together this great delegation.

The productive meetings we had sparked a storm of ideas, potential collaborations, and alliances. The most inspiring part was seeing the passion of the Latino community to shape a better world through high-quality innovation. We're excited about the potential for future collaborations and the positive impact we can make together.

So, what do we cover? Around innovation, there is a significant item we are bringing to the table, and it is infrastructure. Why is that? Although we are industry agnostic, we recognize that some industries like healthcare, insurance, banking, and telco are craving to become more agile and scalable so they can stay competitive, and that's why we are bringing this conversation to the table.

 It was a fantastic first day, and we eagerly anticipate the next one, filled with more opportunities for growth and collaboration! We appreciate the Embassy of Argentina in the UK for the cordial reception and exemplary hospitality extended to the LATAC delegation.
