"So, what are you doing for others?" In an era where health disparities and social inequities continue to shape lives, Dr. King's profound question echoes with renewed urgency. Every day presents an opportunity to be an agent of change – through our words, actions, and the spaces we create. At HCG, we believe meaningful change starts with each of us asking ourselves this daily – in how we serve our clients, support our colleagues, create inclusive spaces in healthcare communications and ensure medical information reaches all communities equitably. We honor Dr. King's legacy not just by remembering his words, but by answering his call to action in our daily work. Ask the question. Share the question. #MLKDAY #HealthcareEquity

On January 20, 2025, we celebrate 30 years of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday as a National Day of Service. This day not only honors Dr. King’s commitment to justice and equality but also calls on us to take action to better our communities. In the spirit of service, we must acknowledge and address disparities in healthcare. For people living with headache and migraine, racial inequities are stark. For example: ▪️ Only 47% of Black patients with headache have a formal diagnosis, compared to 70% of white patients. ▪️Black men receive the least care for headache diseases nationwide. ▪️Only 14% of Black headache patients receive acute migraine prescriptions, compared to 37% of white patients. Dr. King’s legacy reminds us that progress is possible when we work together. Let’s honor his vision by advocating for equitable healthcare and supporting those who need it most. This MLK Day, let’s not only reflect but also take action: volunteer, raise awareness, or empower someone with information that could change their life. Together, we can create a brighter, more inclusive future. #MLKDay #DayOfService #HealthcareEquity #MigraineAwareness #CompassionInAction

Today, we honor the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who reminded us that "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." His fight for civil rights inspires us to continue striving for equity and justice—not only in civil rights but also in healthcare, where far too many families face barriers to care. Inequities in healthcare—such as limited access, financial barriers, and cultural differences—continue to undermine dignity for too many patients and families. At NPHI, we envision a system that centers around what patients and families want, rooted in compassion, dignity, and equitable care. Together with our members, we will keep working toward a healthcare system that truly serves everyone with fairness and compassion. #MLKDay #Healthcare #Hospice

Today, as we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we remember his words: “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.” Healthcare equity remains an ongoing challenge. African Americans and other minority populations in the United States have an increased risk of developing chronic kidney disease, a situation compounded by potentially limited access to adequate care. At Healthmap Solutions, we are committed to addressing these disparities. Learn more in our Executive Briefing, “Health Equity and Kidney Disease Management.” https://hubs.li/Q032-Jyn0

Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. challenged injustices at every level of American society, including in healthcare. Today, as we honor the life and legacy of Dr. King, we also recognize the ongoing work needed to create a healthcare system that is truly equitable and accessible for all. Deeply entrenched disparities continue to impact health outcomes, and healthcare providers must be aware of these realities. It’s essential that we confront these issues honestly, reflect on our role in addressing them, and most importantly, listen—really listen—to the communities we serve. At CHA, we remain steadfast in our commitment to working together with partners across the state to drive meaningful change and improve health outcomes for every person and community for which we care. #MLKDay #martinlutherkingjr #justice #equity #caringforct #healthequity
