Fatherhood engagement is much more than outreach or marketing. Father-inclusive practice recognizes the crucial role fathers play in their children's lives, and proactively engages and supports them in the parenting process. In turn, it benefits children, families, and communities. We'll hear from the Commonwealth Center for Fathers and Families (CCFF) of Kentucky, an innovative nonprofit focused on increasing positive fatherhood engagement and inclusion across Kentucky. https://ow.ly/FpXF50R7RJm?

💖 One way to raise compassionate, empathetic, and socially responsible children is to encourage and support their passion for change, no matter how young they are. Children are naturally curious, kind, and creative, and when you empower them to turn their ideas into action, you give them the tools to become changemakers in their own right. Whether it's through volunteering, fundraising, advocacy, or simply being kind to others, you can make service and kindness a cornerstone of your family's values and build a better world together. Here are actions you can take to get started: https://lnkd.in/ggt_vmZz

Service days are a great way for organizations to give back. But to have the most impact, days of service must address the real needs of communities. Forbes Nonprofit Council recently spoke with Protective Executive Vice President and Chief Transformation and Strategy Officer Scott Adams about how we give back to the neighborhoods that surround Protective Stadium. Plus, learn five key questions to consider when planning your own service days. spr.ly/7676

Yea it’s a five minute video, who watches those anymore! However, if you followed us over the course of Serve Week 2024 (The Ocho) this is an awesome wrap up and great work by the team. We try and use LinkedIn to open a window into our culture. And while Foundry Commercial isn’t perfect and we will always have work to do in pursuit of our standards, I think this is one of the things we get really right. We are a services company and spending time with these amazing organizations, which we encourage you to check out and support, reminds us what true service looks like. It is a week where we try to give back and we always end up getting so much more than we give. Great job Lauren and the entire Serve Week support team. #foundrycommercial #itspersonal #theocho #serveweek2024

What 7 words represent your nonprofit? Before a story is written or a campaign is created, you need to clearly and simply articulate who you are and who you want to reach. In our work with Front Porch Circle, the heart of a cohesive brand strategy boiled down to just 6 words: a support service for pastors' wives. See the strategy in action with this one-pager we designed!

Today marks one month since I started with Benefactor Group as a Senior Consultant in the interim services capacity. Here are four reflections I would love to share: 🗓 30 days goes incredibly fast. If you are an organization hiring for a leadership position, allow your new hire to jump in but also give them space to sit with the new. The Bene team has been incredibly thoughtful about this. 🙋♀️ It’s okay to ask for help. I say this from a place of deep compassion for organizational leaders. I have been there. Lean on people to help you. Having a third-party lens is sometimes the hardest to budget for but the best money you will spend. 📚 Knowledge is power. Easier said than done, professional development and keeping your brain sharp is imperative to our sector. “This is how we have always done it” does not work anymore. 🔆 Nonprofits are amazing, and so are the people that work for them. As we begin to dive deep into interim services and what that looks like for nonprofits, we need to take a moment to acknowledge that this is hard work. Sometimes an organization is not the right fit for the people that are hired and sometimes the person isn’t the right fit for the organization. Let’s normalize saying that is okay. If your organization, or someone you know might benefit from interim services— a focus on expanding the capacity of nonprofit organizations through change and talent management, transition planning, and sustaining development infrastructure—I’d love to learn from your experiences and explore how Benefactor Group could help! 📢 Let's Chat! And if you want to know more about “Why I Serve?” (there might be some book recs at the end) read below!
Meet our newest “Bene”, Jenny Bergman, in our latest edition of “Why I Serve.” Jenny reflects on philanthropy, the common good, and how kitchen table gatherings taught her the importance of community and civil engagement. Get to know Jenny today! bit.ly/3UqEkzV
