Building the right stack for future projects I’ve started a few months ago to create a proper boilerplate project, while developing Manager Flota . Decided to have a clean architecture, modular and easy to scale. I picked #nestjs as a backend framework, #vuejs for frontend, #docker to move faster the code without spending hours to orchestrate for productio, #nginxproxymanager to get rid of a or of settings for #nginx within docker. The code is structured in modules, each module having a responsibility. This allows me to plug and play modules from one project to anothe. Last week started to work for a few hours (4-5) to create the base for LoyalXpert. I had everything I need in place: authentication, authorization, subscriptions, payment provider integration, invoicing, companies module, users module. After all I just had to create the new modules specific to this project. This took me around 3-4 hours. But meantime I discovered that I can optimize more my boilerplate project, so I refactored some parts to be more scalable in the future and help me to ship code and products faster. I had to work 3-4 hours for this. Then come back to develop features for 2-3 hours and this is how I discovered that I have only one feature to do and the back office panel for LoyalXpert is ready. Hope to work faster for the customer app and have a demo until the end of the month. Even if the initial deadline was the end of the year. I really enjoy the process, but moving faster it keeps me motivated. Is not about the code, but more about the execution. How you or your team decides to structure the project? To be scalable from the beginning or make it work and ship it fast?
