Query for furry friend These days, anytime of the day, I take my "queen of hearts," my four-wheeler, on rides on varied roads. To date, she has waited for a really long time for this nearness. Both of us are truly relaxed and enjoy our interestingness well. We observe many things, such as changes, colours, and updates on the roads. One such observation shows the mushrooming of giant SUVs. Out of every 5 SUVs, 3 will have a furry friend peeping out of them, no matter which road I take or which time of the day. On such hot summer days, it's impossible to ride a four-wheeler without AC. Then what must these owners be opting for? AC or no AC? If there is AC, then so much of the coldest air is getting mixed into the surroundings, yet the weather remains horribly hot. No AC is big -NO for two-legged smart fellows riding inside that SUV. Whatever the answer, my sincere request is not to take my furry friends out for a fairy during the day if not necessary. Like us, they must be suffering too. Think twice, please, about our environment too. This is a humble request.

Today is the #TowelDay #NoPanic "A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value. You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapours; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a miniraft down the slow heavy River Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (such a mind-bogglingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can't see it, it can't see you — daft as a brush, but very very ravenous); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough. More importantly, a towel has immense psychological value. For some reason, if a strag (strag: non-hitch hiker) discovers that a hitchhiker has his towel with him, he will automatically assume that he is also in possession of a toothbrush, face flannel, soap, tin of biscuits, flask, compass, map, ball of string, gnat spray, wet weather gear, space suit etc., etc. Furthermore, the strag will then happily lend the hitch hiker any of these or a dozen other items that the hitch hiker might accidentally have "lost." What the strag will think is that any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is, is clearly a man to be reckoned with." — Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

☀ Happy Eclipse Day! 🌑 🕶 No sunglasses for your pup? No problem. Your dog doesn't need sunglasses for the solar eclipse, but you should still be mindful. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭: Your pup may show signs of stress, anxiety, or nervousness. It may exhibit behavior similar to their bedtime routine - lots of yawning, stretching, or moving to their bedtime spot in the house. It's best to leave your dog at home while you view the eclipse. Your pup will show no interest in looking at the sky. However, if you're traveling with your pup, here are some safety precautions for the eclipse, especially if you cannot leave your dog at home. ✅ The crowds at viewing hot spots may cause your dogs to become anxious, stressed, or frightened, so be sure to give them breaks as needed. ✅ Pack extra water for your dog, as traffic patterns to and from the viewing site may be different than usual. ✅ Ensure your dog can be easily identified if it gets away from you. Make sure you have a leash, collar, ID tag, microchip, and up-to-date photos. Enjoy this momentous occasion safely (and with your pup comfortably at home). #solareclipse #eclipse2024 #safetytips #goldenretriever #grinrescue #adoptdontshop

FEBRUARY 2ND Groundhog Day, or February 2nd, is the day when woodchucks tell Canadians what awaits them in the months till the official start of Spring. Will it be a long winter or a short winter — as if waiting until early February wasn’t long enough. How long is that groundhog’s shadow? Legend has it that, on February 2nd, if the groundhog emerges from its burrow, sees its shadow and then returns, winter will last for another six weeks. If it doesn’t see its shadow, winter will be shorter. Wiarton Willie, is another of Canada’s most well-known groundhogs, who, along with his successors (each named Willie), has been making prognostications since 1999. While waiting for the prediction on February' 2nd, here are a few seasonal jokes: How does Punxsutawney Phil greet his parents? With hogs and kisses. Does anyone know a good Groundhog Day joke? I keep hearing the same one over and over again. What is a groundhog’s favorite drink? Hole milk. Why is it annoying to watch TV with a groundhog? They hog the remote. What does Punxsutawney Phil use to clean his laundry? Hogwash. Why are woodchucks such bad drivers? Because they hog the road. How do groundhogs approach wellness? Hole-istically. How do you stop a woodchuck from digging holes? Hog-tie it. What do you call a groundhog in the middle of a tennis court? Annette. Which animal takes up the most square feet? A groundhog. Where does Punxsutawney Phil see his doctor? The hog-spital. How does the groundhog know when to look for his shadow? They tell him to gopher it. Happy Groundhog Day!
